  boy do i miss you guys.

  MY OBSERVATIONS FROM THE MEMORIAL TONIGHT (just got home)

  well, as per usual, the memorial talk bored the hell out of me, but i found it, in one way to be an improvement over last years when they had the most boring speaker on the planet there http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/111544/1.ashx this guy at least knew how to speak.

  unfortunately, he didn't have much of a script to work with.. there was the mention of adam sinning and mankind needing a redeemer etc., no mention of when the israelites left egypt though.

  that's probably the first year i've ever seen where this hasn't been mentioned.

  My exit and last memorial 1991 gave away my 5 pinstripe dress suits to the homeless shelter charity (got a colostomy bag now so can't wear em anyway)

  Does anyone else here find it very odd that Orthadox Jews who still follow the entire old testiment allow blood transfusions? Has anyone ever used that effectively in an argument about the subject, I mean JW's don't follow any part of the old testiment because of Jesus resetting that however they follow the old testiment on this point, when the people who follow the whole testiment don't view it the same way. That's really wierd to me.

  Yep,many times in post the JW's come back and skirt issue with circular reasoning and say that the "Jews don't believe in Jesus or have jehovah's spirit"

  You are dead right. In Rutherford's era, "Religion is a snare and racket" pickets outside churches was the flavor of the day. And Jw's, being the cult-followers they were, did it without question - it was the 'right thing to do' in 'Jehovah's eyes' at the time.

  Good and evil is subjective. They think what they do is good, you and I think it's evil. Perhaps one day they'll break free from cult mind control and understand what they did in the same way you and I do.
