Wow. I have some disagreements with that, but the gist is right.
I like watching FOX news cause they do that alot and its entertaining. They bring on a weak representative (or a strong one and just put his volume down slightly lower) and they attack the liberal with a barrage of insults and half-truths.
The saddest thing about it is that there are people who eating up every word these guys are spewing.
what a whacked out character timothy treadwell was.. this documentary and story, told mostly through treadwell's own video, is about a man who wanted to be a friend of grizzly bears and perhaps maybe be a grizzly bear.
he took off for alaska where for long stretches of time he would "commune" with these huge killer bears and film them.
he seemed to think he had nothing to fear because he was operating at a higher level of spirituality and that the bears sensed it.
His story sounds like something you'd see on a MAD tv sketch or something.
Give me that guy from wild america anyday.
i believed for a while, since 2000, with the build up of lawsuits and litigation, that the watchtower society was at least trying to protect itself better.
they did publish some useful, if very imperfect, changes in policy regarding child abuse that appeared to suggest their practices were headed in the right direction.. then, in the year 2006, the hammer of hard reality smacks me upside the head.
my son-in-law's dad, who i have mentioned in a continuing series, has been back in jail for sometime because of lying to the police about his sexual deeds with children.
I dont want to sound like the apoligist (again ). But what did she do thats going to get her disfellowshipped?

i'm just finished reading george orwell's "1984.
" has anyone read it and did you also find eerie similarities to.
I'm re-reading it. I read it for an AP class in high school, but for some reasons failed to notice the similarities. The second time however, i have noticed a few similarities.
in human sexuality, we all have things that turn us on and things that turn us off, things that attract us and things that don't.
often people think it is all about what you see in advertising, but often it is smaller things we think less of and yet it dominates our sex drive.
for example, in a case study we did, we found that a lot of people would immediately answer things like "eyes" or "legs" and yet as we drove deeper into their answers, we found that eyes and legs were not what attracted people.
Glossy lips, that really gets me going. Loud, obnoxious women. Its ok to have an opinion, but voicing it unintelligently gets you ignored.
i am a active jw, but one question i would like to know is why do these 'men' get treated as superstar celebrities when they attend the congregation?.
for as long as i can remember, there seems to be a 'buzz of excitement' when it is announced that he and his wife are due to visit.
what is so special about them?.
I have the habit of not going up to C.O. If they happen to pass me, they'll get the usual handshake and smile that everyone gets. Our C.O came up to me cause i he remembered i had a part in the Assembly.

O man, we had this one sub in high school that we could convince to do all our homework problems for us. This guy was REALLY into math and would do it for the fun of it i think. I still see him sometimes, i'll buy him a drink one of these days.
I had an algebra and earth science teachers that were really cool in the 8th grade, during lunch, they'd sit in the room with the security guard and smoke (not cigarrettes, lol), when they were done, they'd burn incense to blot the smell away.

right now i'm a double major as a comp sci and comp engineering, i may get a minor in afro american studies too.
In the 9th grade, i REALLY wanted to become an FBI agent, but that was shot down when i made it clear to one of the elders at the hall.
Also, i was offered an internship at the NSA before i graduatedd from high school but i told that same elder about it and he convinced me to do otherwise. (I was really straight edged then) Needless to say, all future plans after that point were kept to myself.
