Fraction Fiction?

i am very confused over the blood fraction matter.

i used to wear the little gold circle; engraved "no blood" pinned to my bra as a child and later carried a "no blood" card till i was 26. i am angry and sorry for all those who lost their lives to a doctrine that is now being redefined.

perhaps soon fine tuned until one can accept all forms of blood.. i recently had surgery and this health care power of attorney was sent to me (filled out by the person who sent it) concerned for my "spiritual well being" she/he wanted me to copy it and give it to my doctors.

Love your sense of humor Farkel, but unfortunately I am confused and ANGRY. It has taken me over 10 years to finally start questioning their teachings after 26 years in. How could I have been so easily "bent" and manipulated? I guess you could say I am finally waking up after a long nap and seeing the REAL "truth."

Its scares me knowing that there are doors being knocked on this instant and ones being baptized into a religion that thrives on manipulation.

Silentlambs created everyday, children and adults dying because of blood issues etc.

Since my release from the hospital I looked up a list of Blood Fractions almost all of which contain exactly what the power of attorney states a JW will not take.

I guess I just don't "get it". Let thousands of innocents die, then say you can have these "fractions" of blood when in all reality (If I did my research correctly) your accepting Blood, who cares how its labeled its blood. I wonder if the JW's who check 5(b) realize exactly what these "fractions contain?

Paragraph (2) Health Care Power of Attorney, States that the person signing WILL NOT accept blood, (red cells, white cells, platelets, or plasma) although paragraph 5(b) gives the option of accepting ALL fractions derived from ANY component of blood. (The person who sent it to me selected this option)

Just about EVERY FRACTION that is now being accepted contains one of the components listed in paragraph 2 in the Health Care power of Attorney below.

TLC Program -- Car Crash with JW

i posted this in another thread...did anyone see this very program?

the learning channel in one of those wild police chase video programs.... about the "music".... did any one here watch a tlc program that comes on once in a while about wild police chases and there's this chase where a car crashes into a set of gas pumps, and just sits there stunned and dazed in his white car while the officers yell at him to get out now, then one of the officers sacrifices his safety and uses his cruiser to bump off this freak from the burning gas pump island and out of the fire....then an officer comments on the blaring "classical music" he heard blaring from his car stereo at full blast all the while he seemed oblivious to this whole situation?.

guess what that "classical music" at full blast was?

Hello Sun,

Yes, I have seen the very shot you are speaking of. I thought the music was familiar but unaware of where it was from. I wonder how many active JW's have watched that footage and have said to themselves OMG that's one of our songs!!! ( since TLC and Discovery channel are on their lists of "OK" channels to watch at times, of course let the watcher use discernment)LOL

Now I will have to watch for a repeat to listen to the music again!!

Am I allowed to Post Here?

i decided not to join the witness 3 months ago(for personal reasons) i dont want to join no organization, not either churchs,.

i feel alot better to preach the truth and live by the laws & commandments and survive this last century(last days) by myself, along with my girlfriend... .

i love the witness, they are the only ones, who tell billions the truth.. 40% of my bible(kingjamesversion) information, i got from the witness, the rest i learn by myself, thanks to jehovah(yahweh) & the wonderful armageddon messiah(king jesus)...but i feel kinda alone on the internet going around helping and preaching jehovah'god & jesus word, because as it is written, in the last century, millions will turn away from the truth- 2 timothy chapter 4 verse 2 .

Weirdest door to door experience (fiction)

ok, this is a follow up to kenneson's wonderful post about the strangest door to door experience you have ever had.

i thought it would be fun to start one that was make believe.

you know, spin a tale that is fantasy but make it sound real, (or make it sound fake).. example[fake one]- one time i was with some brothers on fs and after waiting at a certain door for a couple of minutes, out of nowhere, a group of ninja's jumped out and went ballistic on us.... or something like that.. anyway, i thought it would be funny.

April 20 is a sad anniversary for my family

on april 20, 1977, my brother's wife, janice, died as a result of complications from childbirth.

the baby, their only son, also died unnamed.

Does Anyone Remember.....

i was a member of a hall in pa not far from bethel as a child and teen.

there were trips scheduled every couple months to bethel for the sisters to meet the brothers there.

we would stay in a hotel couldn't tell you the name now but the society had some ties to it because the room rates were only a couple dollars per night.

april 19 is the seventh anniversary of the bombing of the murrah federal building in oklahoma city.in the light of the more recent tragedies in new york city and washington,d.c.,this is just a reminder that the survivors of this tragedy are still recovering,and still mourning the loss of their loved ones.please,take a moment to remember them in your thoughts.. if you ever have the opportunity to visit the okc national memorial,please do so...you will come away with a whole new appreciation for life,and how truly fragile it is.. .

Hiya Duchie!

Like I said I was there at 15 as a chaperone, and never considered myself a "candidate" but I do have one yearbook from a Bethelite from the last times I went at the age of sixteen still acting as a chaperone.

I can still remember the sisters waiting for those yearbooks, though looking back now its quite amusing and strange at the same time.

My favorite part of the trip was going through Bethel in the tunnel system and of course the food that I was able to eat for free when the sisters paid for dinner. Being a chaperone I had to accompany them whenever they were with a brother. Yes, they paid because it was not in the Bethelites budget.

Yes to your question Dutchie several sisters found a husband in this manner.

I was a member of a hall in PA not far from Bethel as a child and teen. There were trips scheduled every couple months to Bethel for the sisters to meet the brothers there. We would go on tours of Bethel. I saw the book binding factory and heard the glue jokes one too many times.

We would go tour the tunnels and eat with the Bethel family then the sisters would be approached afterwards by different brothers and a date would ensue. Usually a dinner at a Greek restaurant (loved the stuffed grape leaves and the Baklava(sp))and proceed to a movie.

They were expeditions to find husbands. I went on several occasions as a chaperone, I was only 15. Again as I stated it was a fishing trip for husbands.

Did any other Halls practice this or was my hall one of few?

PS. The way a brother at Bethel would let you know he liked you upon your return would be to send a yearbook to your hall addressed to you.
