  Years ago it was a capital crime to rape someone, a man used to be sentenced to death because of the rape. But the rape hugging Liberals reversed the law and gave man a prison sentence instead. In some cases, the rapist gets only a few years in prison. I cannot think of a worse insult to a woman who survived a rape only to get slapped in the face because a rapist got a short sentence.

  The woman only gets a nine month sentence, and possible the death sentence if she is a high risk pregnancy or if there is complications. She did not do a damn thing wrong. Your logic makes no sense. Again until you are raped and know the feelings associated with such you have no clue as to which you are speaking when it comes to revenge.

  Why only a law for non relatives? How would that be fair to a baby who was just born and none of his family are a match? It's not his fault he exists. Would you fault all those selfish people out there not willing to die for a child they did not want in the first place?

  Did I say there should be a law only for non-relatives? I didn't say that, there shouldn't be a law for non-relatives, only for relatives only. Please re-read what I just said above.

  I would expect to be forced to do so and it should be a law only for relatives, not non-related blood.

  It would not just stop at blood if that decision every were made law and you know it.

  Ok great! Tomorrow the Supreme Court decides that you have to give your kidneys, heart or whatever else to your child to say his life..... and your going to tell me you would not fight it? How about an eye, you only need one to see! Part of your liver, your small instestine? Please remember these are major surgeries and YOU very well could die while helping this child.

  I am the last one who doesn't want people talking about politics, but surely one could see the difference in say Cerise posting about going to vote versus yet another thread on yet another beheading. Two entirely different threads with what I would bet Canadian tire money on would have entirely different outcomes.

  I agree Val, I too tire of the same thread being posted by the same poster but a different title or a small amount of differece in the message to get ones point across. Or just to stir the shit so to speak.

  Well, the baby has no choice.

  And you all want the mother not to have a chioce as well, let me say again those who became pregnant without consent. I would truly like a man here to address the points about forced kidney donation or any other body part to save a child who he may have fathered or perhpas he did not father. A child he wants nothing to do with or perhaps he loves but does not WANT the government to force him into a decision. This may sound horrible but until a man has to become pregnant, and does so through force, that of incest or rape I do not believe you should have a say in the matter unless it is your own childs life you are fighting for. You are not asked to put your life on the line for another, why should a woman be forced to? Cassi

  this ruddy bird has been driving me up the wall for ruddy days with it's ruddy call, at first i thought it liked me, thought it might want to mate with me or something.

  every time i got close to it, it would put out it's feathers in this enormous and beautiful display.

The father says "NO!" ... Should the state be able to compel the Father of the baby (with threats of fines and prison) to submit and have some of his bone marrow extracted to save his baby's life?" Should a male parent be subject to the same demand that he be forced to use his body to keep his child alive? What if he didn't want the pregnancy in the first place? What if he is estranged from the mother (and the baby, too)? What if he has religious objections to any kind of transfusion? Aside from the moral issue, should the state hold the father to the same standard as the mother? Should any exception be allowed?

  Should the above be made law? If you fathered a child who you had no interest in and did not want the mother in your life or the child, it's ok to make it law you should save that baby right? What if he needed a heart transplant or kidney? You are of course willing to give your kidney or heart correct? If government forced you to give your life for that of your child.... that's fair right? Or should you have a choice in the matter?
