  Terry:

  A parent protects their children. If a disobedient child is about to play with matches will a parent let them go up in flames just to teach them a lesson?

  If the parent cares about the child, he will stop the child from playing with matches. The child is so stubborn he will not stop.

  So Terry what would you do? Please do not insinuate that I would let my child go up in flames. That would be total madness. But what I am saying is that if for some reason the child, after being warned about the dangers of the lit matches still go on ahead and lights them at a time the parent is not around or at least thinks the parent is not anywhere in sight what then? What would you say about that child?

  Hi. I believe that blood transfusions can help save someone's life. Eating meat that had not been bled is much different than giving or receiving blood transfusions. The law of the Jews and the Gentiles.

  Jesus did things to help people which was interpreted by the religious leaders as being against the law of Moses. Did Jesus give in and say, "Oh, I hadn't thought of it that way. I won't do it again?" No! On the contrary, he called them hypocrites. He showed them that leading their ox from the stall on the Sabbath to give it a drink, which they had never thought God intended the law to prohibit, would have been just as much against the law as healing. Jesus was teaching that it is always important to do good things for people. God does not oppose doing good, and His law should not be interpreted as if He did.

  Christ helped us understand a very important principle: the law was given to help people, to get people to do good and not evil. The law encourages us to save lives, but sometimes withholding blood actually amounts to killing. What would you do if your child were in an accident and lost so much blood that without a transfusion he would die and you had the right type of blood to save him? Would you save the life, or kill? Those who twist the law and tell you, "You should not give blood, even when it will save a life!" do not understand that important underlying priciples of the Bible, but have taken its words in the same superficial way the Pharisees did. Like them, they end up contradicting what God teaches us to do.

  eclipse:So they just came about by chance? No complex molecules atoms and DNA structures? They all came about by what, evolution?

  So god created all the other perfect stuff but none of the ''icky'' things like viruses, deadly bacteria, worms, parasites, etc. hmmm? Yes that is logical. Let's blame everything on sin.I am not saying that man's problems are god's fault. Not at all.

  You will find that atheists will agree with you that man is only to blame for their own problems. Sin has been established to be a creation of power-hungry men to exert control over the masses.

  Ok eclipse. To tell you the truth, all these "icky" things would not have come about if man had obeyed God. God told man not to do certain things which would cause harm and death to him. But he didn't listen so all these bad came in. Do you remember Adam & Eve? God told them not to eat from the tree of knowlege. They had everything they needed...but they wanted more. More... that would have opened their eyes to things they should not have known or seen. More that would hurt them and it did. He did warn them.

  It's like protecting your child from seeing or doing horrible things that would scar them emotionally and may cause them to hurt themselves physically. God is our Heavenly Father. He only wants to protect us and give us good things but we are harden and stubborn and want more...more...and more that we don't really need or just plain curious. People in nature are curious but we should listen to those who know better. God always knows best. We just don't listen and get in trouble.

  God gave the lady her 2 children. God did not give intestinal worms, malaria, HIV, rabies, etc., that kill millions of children every year. All the bad things have come into existence because of sin.

  Did God tell people to do wrong things? No.

  Did God tell people to be unclean and not take care of themselvs? No.

  Did God tell people to litter all over the place to give the unhealthy environment we have today? No.

  All the bad things that you claim come from God actually exist because of sin. We are to blame. How can we blame God for our wrongdoings? It is like a wicked man (Wayne) blaming someone else (Gary) for a crime he (Gary) did not commit when the truth is that wicked man (Wayne) is the guilty one.

  Blueblades: Believer will struggle to answer your question..Name Just One Thing ...revealed by God. My view is that they can't and so they have no choice but to use circular reasoning to do so. i.e. the bible says it, the bible says God reveals things to certain people

  Believers do not struggle to answer the question!. We can answer the question and without "circular reasoning" as you call it. If you are in the spiritual realm of God you would see not just one but many, many things are revealed by God. However, those who do not believe in God would not want to admit that God reveals many things to people in many ways that is not necessarily written in the Bible.

  And if you find this does not make sense, it's because you are not allowing God to reveal it to you because of stubborness.
