  I do know that he didn't tie all the 300 foxes together...*smarty*, just try to explain to me how on earth, he could have caught ALL those foxes, kept them alive with him (just imagine what 300 live foxes would be like, for a minute) Then proceed to tie them by the tails, two by two (while the others are waiting patiently, of course), then light the torches, and then set them free on the field all at once.

  And EVEN if it were true...it shows the wonderful care that guy's got for God's creatures...

  Oooh! And I 'd really like if someone also tried to explain how Samson gattered the 300 foxes, tied them up by the tail with torches and all, sorry I keep bringing that up, but someone who does beleive this story, just MUST explain that to me! Please.:)

  Now they "Excommunicate"??

  some of you might had read that in one of my other post...my father, who is the only jw in the family, came up with the word "excommunicated" when talked about disfellowshipement.

  now, nobody here seems to have any idea what this is all about.

  he seems pretty certain that it's now the proper word to use.

  Hmmm...that sounds like a good explanation....as the word we use here is "exclu"--literally, Excluded, shut out. It does sound very "cult-like", althought I think Excommunicated sounds worst, and kind of funnier. When my mom told me that, I laughed and was like...Ex...Excommunicated?! Like the catholics! Bwaa-haha.lol

  I sincerely don't care what they say in front of everyone, it's irrelevent, because most of the time, they simply say so and so in no longer a JW, making everyone think that they have become some kind or rebel, aweful person. And it's the same wether the person as killed her own mother or just had a puff o' cigarette.

  "The Brooklyn inquisition" one though...makes a lot of sense to me.lol You should suggest it!;P

  Well, he came up with that just last week, I thought it really might be new...also, I don't know why he would say that to either me and my mom, because we know full well the JW wording, we've been in an baptized for years. And now when we talk to him about DF, he corrects us by saying it's excommunicated now.

  Could it be some kind of legal measure so that it doesn't sound like some cult rejecting it's former members...to be more more like mainstream religions?

  Some of you might had read that in one of my other post...my father, who is the only JW in the family, came up with the word "excommunicated" when talked about Disfellowshipement. Now, nobody here seems to have any idea what this is all about. He seems pretty certain that it's now the proper word to use. Maybe he read it? Heard it at the Hall?

  I just want to know if some of you even heard of it mentionned? Maybe it's just here in Canada? I'm confused...it seems very Catholic, hope he isn't going crazy...;P

  the thing is, my father is still in.

  Hmmm...Billy, that really made me think. You know, we do show him how great a family he has, we constantly go out together to movies and restaurants, etc. He knows we love him. Maybe we should do it more, but maybe it would just make him think that we're okay with him being a JW.

  Like I said, I personally don't really care what he does with his religious life, as I no longer live with my family, but knowing that he is trying to bring my little brothers in it, that is disturbing me. I know what it is to be a witness kid. If I could at least convince him to stop guilt-tripping the kids.... And there is also the fact that the whole family has to wait for him to come back from meetings/ service a good part of the weekend. That kind of sucks.

  Well, that's what I tried at first. I even wrote him a letter with the reasons why I had stopped being a JW, he read it once and got rid of it. I heard from my mom that he thought I was making up all those feelings I had bared and that I had just copied most of the things and questions from some apostate site. Wich of course, wasn't true, I had done very little research at that time.

  My mother also frequently asks him questions that are hard to anwer and that are supposed to make one think. His 3 answers are:

  I will research on that (wich he never does, or at least he never shows us the results...)

  Nobody's perfect

  Jehovah will take care of it in time.

  It is getting very frustrating to hear the same parroted answers again and again...that's why we came to the conclusion that what he needed was something that would really rock his whole concept of good and bad. Things are very black and white to him right now, because it is relatively easy for him. He never had to shun, loose a child to the no-blood law or any other difficult stuff...

  Okay, just to make it clear, we are not a reconstituted family. My father has only one family, my mom, me, my sister and our two young brothers. He is the ONLY one still in "the truth". Maybe I will reconsider, after reading all your responses, it might not be worth the pain...it's just that I was thinking...what would he do? How could he face his own family (his sisters, father and mother) if they were to know that he is not allowed to talk to me, his own daughter, because of some petty things that they all do?

  And mind you, I wasn't about to whore around or do crack just to get DF'd, I'm not crazy, I thought that the sole fact that I was actively apostate would do it, but it doesn't.

  Oh...about excommunication...I had never heard that before either. I just couldn't beleive that was true...strange, nobody's heard it? Why would he say that? He isn't the kind of person the invent things....and it just seems so stupid...why copy a Catholic term?

  Me too.:P We kid those we love.We have talked before, and I do think that Samson's story can be entertaining...but to beleive it as true, that, I MUST be explained.
