How long can this cult remain with only kids becoming members?
by Crazyguy init's become clear that very few from outside the religion are joining anymore.
if only the kids of the people that are already in are the one replacing the members as they die off and 50% let's say of the kids leave then how long can they realistically last before the downturn becomes obvious?.

The assembly I was at the other weekend had 640 people in attendance with 0 baptized.
But on the other hand, what about those returning? Last 12 months along our congregation of around 70 pubs has had at least 4 people return to the org. Thinking back last 24 months there was at least one other person return. Over this time no one has left that I am aware of.
Are other congregations getting more numbers returning vs those getting baptized?

Hey gerry, thanks for your thoughts. I also know of an ex elder and po, who left WT about 13 years ago. I would be excited if you were that same one. Can you share what country you are in?

That is a very well thought out letter. But start the letter with some positive GB words first. Need to get them to like you from the start of the letter. That way you may hold their interest a bit longer, otherwise once they read your words "I was alarmed", in the 3rd paragraph it is going to sent apostate warning signals and that will be it, forgotten about, move on.
But like the others have said, I don't believe it will get anywhere, nor will you get the reply that you are looking for. -

I was helping a Mature Sister with her tablet for downloading the meeting and then noticed ...
by Quarterback inthis sweet older sister needed help and while trying to download the clm on her tablet, the history showed some porn pictures.
how does someone overlook that and carry on?.

I was at a jw house last year when they discovered that they could cast their You Tube videos from their ipad to the smart tv. When it first popped up on the tv all these suggested apostate videos also showed. That only happens if you are actively viewing this subject. Lol.

Many are leaving their enforced, inbred and inherited religions, and surprise it's not just JWs...
by UNCONDITIONAL LOVE ini want to share this great article from an informative website on religion and how it is an age old play on emotions and why many are fleeing from religion, including you.
the other insightful articles on this website will help to soothe your complex worries and open your eyes to a great reality.. one love.

The smug arrogance of "having the truth".
by stuckinarut2 inhas anyone noticed that witnesses (from the top down) seem to have a quiet form of smug arrogance toward all non witnesses?.
perhaps it comes from being told how "special and unique" they are but they end up looking down on all normal members of the community because they are not witnesses.. so any form of "love" they show those in the territory is also limited as long as they accept the message...otherwise they are viewed contemptuously as "worldly" and therefore of little value...after all, they will be destroyed right?.

The only knowledge most JW's know about the world is what we get told at the meetings about the way the world is, thinks, etc. The power of having to believe everything we hear at the meetings gives (some) JW's the idea that they know more about non witness's (worldly people) than these non witness's know about themselves, and because witness's then believe they know more, they then take on this smug arrogance, and are very open about it in front of other people. You can then record time for this behavior. -

Do JWs ever doubt that the end is really coming?
by dogon inas a former dubber i had many occasions to doubt that the end was coming.
i was told it was ok to doubt but not to think about it too much and wait on jehovah.
that bull shit lasted until they changed the meaning of generation in 95 and that was the end of that bull shit for me.

Our CO told us in one of his talks on his last visit that the end is going to come in our life time, and those that don't believe this, are basically listen to Satan's lies, or as he put it "Expressions of Error". So we are forced to believe the end is so near. Luke 21:8. No doubts allowed no matter how many times JW.org have cried wolf in the past.
