Sounds like you have done more in 1 month about breaking free from this trap than I have been able to in the last 11 years of knowing ttatt.
It really hurts when we hear witnesses believe the stories from WT ahead of the truth from the Bible.
hey all, .
this is my first post.
i haven't been out in service or to a meeting in over a month.. i realize now that i've been having serious questions for years and many articles and talks have greatly disturbed me over the years.

i'm speechless.
i know this guy.

I wonder why Satan's media decided to refer to him as a school teacher and not a JW.

I can't get that link to open!
shared a bit with my husband the other day about what i'd learned about cults.
how nearly (if not all) every box on the list gets checked for jw.
he got some upset!
Witnesses live life as if the WT leaders were God on earth. They wont admit that, but they actions toward WT officials clearly shows it, so any form of negative talk no matter how true it is about the beloved JW.org is not going to go down very well with any WT believer. So their being defensive is the normal instant reply you will be hit with if you upset them with these kind of statements .
it's been a long time since i was in, so please school me on this subject.
if, in wt teaching, jesus took over his "kingdom" in 1914, doesn't that mean that in wt world view, that the millennium is more than 100 years gone already?
if the last 102 years is a foretaste of his power, then eternity is looking more interesting than i anticipated..
In 2014 there was a WT magazine that celebrated 100 years of kingdom rule.
well, thats it folks.. my identity on here has been rumbled and reported to the elders.
someone, somehow, has figured out that im a member of this site and - rather than speak to me - has promptly reported me to the elders.
i just feel sad for my daughter.
Reading this tread as made me realize that most of you are in my congregation, I have also taken pictures as proof, and at the next meeting I'm going to tell the Elders that you are all on this site. I don't want any of you to suffer spiritual ship wreck.
Now what would happen to me if I were to do this?
great effort from the home side, even though they did get beat by the best in the world.. .

Next game between these two teams is this Saturday in Wellington. NZ.
it's become clear that very few from outside the religion are joining anymore.
if only the kids of the people that are already in are the one replacing the members as they die off and 50% let's say of the kids leave then how long can they realistically last before the downturn becomes obvious?.
The assembly I was at the other weekend had 640 people in attendance with 0 baptized.
But on the other hand, what about those returning? Last 12 months along our congregation of around 70 pubs has had at least 4 people return to the org. Thinking back last 24 months there was at least one other person return. Over this time no one has left that I am aware of.
Are other congregations getting more numbers returning vs those getting baptized?
today marks 13 years since my wife and i have stepped inside a kingdom hall.
after 29 years full on being a jw and a number of years serving as an elder then as the presiding overseer we pulled the plug.
yes 13 years ago coming home from the first day of a circuit assembly i said to my wife “that’s it i am not going back”.
Hey gerry, thanks for your thoughts. I also know of an ex elder and po, who left WT about 13 years ago. I would be excited if you were that same one. Can you share what country you are in?
just sent this letter off to the governing body.
i also sent a copy to the britain branch.
the governing body.
That is a very well thought out letter. But start the letter with some positive GB words first. Need to get them to like you from the start of the letter. That way you may hold their interest a bit longer, otherwise once they read your words "I was
alarmed", in the 3rd paragraph it is going to sent apostate warning signals and that will be it, forgotten about, move on.
But like the others have said, I don't believe it will get anywhere, nor will you get the reply that you are looking for.
