  Another JW Urban Legend Thread

  how many of you remember the one about the teenager who skipped the meeting and decided to get into a car with his worldly friends and they worldly guys decided to rob a store and the jw didn't know they were going to do so but he was arrested simply for being with them?.

  Who as heard the one about a JW Dad who wants to show his son why gambling is wrong and a waste of money, so he takes his son into a casino, puts his one piece of money into a machine and hits jackpot. Moral is that Satan will temp you and catch you even with your best intentions.

  KISS - Knights In Satan's Service

  growing up as a jw, i was told that kiss stood for knights in satan's system (or service).. i just did a google search and learned it's not true.

  it's actually not an acronym for anything.. to be honest, apparently it's not just the jws who believe it means something related to satan.. http://www.snopes.com/music/hidden/kiss.asp.

  From para 8 in this WT study. Talking about those in the congregation stumbling us. How is that quote at the end of that para even linked to to being stumbled? Who, upon being stumbled by another JW would become “enraged against Jehovah,” because of it? Could someone please shed some light on how that verse is applied under these circumstances?

  Witnessing to two JW elders

  i was approached by two jehovah’s witness elders who handed me a pamphlet advertising the jw .org website.

  each man carried a bible and an apple ipad.

  they told me that they enjoyed visiting with people about the bible, and asked if i was a bible reader.

  Thats good. You need to use that reasoning on more elders. Unfortunately they will still choose WT words over the bible to rule their life.

  Why would Watchtower fight Stratton Ohio

  why would watchtower sue stratton ohio, and then laud it over and over in their books?

  the town doesn't even have 300 people, why would they pick on such a small town.

  they are promoting it so much at this week's meeting.

  Promotional proof to make the R&F believe that WT are winning all and every court battle.

  As brought out at this meeting, This is clear proof that Jehovah is controlling these court outcomes. How else can WT win these Supreme Court trials with Satan's rulers (the courts), under the control of Satan's world?

  even when i was in junior high school i would go to the library and look for anything that was about charles taze russell or millenial dawn or jehovah's witnesses..... maybe i was an "apostate " in the making..

  No way, that was the most wicked thing that I, as a JW could think about doing back then. It was WT's very own literature, and their rewriting of their own history that made me wake up. Main topic for me was what WT say today about what Charles Taze Russell wrote about 1914, vs what Charles Taze Russell really wrote in his books regarding 1914. It was after that, that I discovered that wicked evil apostates were telling the truth about what Charles Taze Russell really wrote in his books regarding 1914. And it is the WT that have rewritten their version of 1914 to suit their agenda.

  this year’s “don’t give up” convention encourages theocratic welfare.

  brother pioneer is doing a lot of carting and having trouble making ends meet.

  his landlord doesn’t get it and decides to evict him and his wife.. .

  A good example of WT double speak. "Simplify your life and reduce your work hours so you can spend more time in Jehovah's service". But then when you can't keep up with your everyday bill expenses because of following this direction from WT, we are told by WT that it is Satan's system that is the causing your financial hardship.
