  I too found this to be a hard illustration to understand at the study, Common sense tells us that if someone allows someone else to do bad, he is equally guilty of causing it, if he could of done something about stopping it. The illustration in para 8 to explain the BIG difference between allowing something to happen and causing it, is not a very good point. They will have to come up with a better illustration to prove this point if this book does contain the written word of truth.

  A question on " 1975 "

  i was reading some of the first " topics " on this db and i noticed that a few former elders and publishers .

  were stumbled by this date.... i was born after 1975 and i'd really appreciate any comments from brothers and sisters who were around .

  what i've noticed from personal experience is that many brothers and sisters feel that only " a few " were stumbeled .

  And guess what, if the end did come in 1975, we would never hear the end of how, for more that 10 years earlier than that and thanks to Jehovah, they had warned us about it.

  The death of the Watchtower pre-study

  who is old enough to remember when witnesses used eagerly to meet on a friday or saturday night to "pre-study" the watchtower in groups: reading paragraphs, underlining, reading scriptures (sometimes)?.

  what happened to that, does anyone still do it anywhere?

  i think witnesses are just not as enthusiastic about the "truth" as they used to be.

  I attended pre WT studies up till the point when the elders here found out that 3 single bro's (including 1 elder) and a single sis were meeting together in a public place to mark up our watchtowers. There reason was that it was i nappropriate for single bro's and sis's to meet together. That was around 1995 and I havn't heard of pre studies since nor have I personally pre studied again.

  Latest WT study article - preparation for upcoming new light?

  the latest wt study article seemed like an article to prep the masses for 'new light' to be revealed in the very near future.. i have never seen an article like this one where they summarized their 'flashes of light' in their history in this manner and bombarded the minds with the need to accept all and any change within the org.. it could be for the purpose of getting the rank and file to accept a pretty big change or a series of big changes very soon.. what do you think?

  New light could be:

  1: A new 1 hour meeting beginning on 1st Oct 2006, This meeting will take place on Wednesday evenings at Kingdom Halls.

  2: Following the guidance found in the Scriptures, We (the GB) now admit to publishing incorrect information causing large numbers to lose faith in Jehovah.

  This is something new I noticed about Psalm 11:5. It is well known to me on the subject of violence. But for the 1st time I saw that it talks about Jehovahs soul.

  5 Jehovah himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one, And anyone loving violence His soul certainly hates.

  Does anyone know of other scriptures that talk about spirit creatures having souls?

  You are not the only one that can't access reexamine, it stopped working about 2 days ago at my end, can't even continue the downloads from there. All I now get is a blank web page.

  the domain "watchtower.ca" has been transferred to wts (i assume they will have it pointing to borg.org watchtower.org asap).

  my copies of the site have been destroyed, the files deleted, and my wt library cd has been destroyed, in accordance with the settlement agreement which will afford a "discontinuance" of their suit against me.

  And Jehovah helped me, often comforting me through my brothers and sisters.

  What kind of Christian Elder would come to that conclusion? I would say that every bottom of the spiritual ladder-Jehovah Witness would know that Jehovah should not be blamed for illness, including a malignant brain tumor (Wt 2003, 1 st Sept, pg 9, para 8).

  And then to go to the FDS and have his spiritual weakness printed in the WT!.
