  Who are you now?

  all of us have been tit-sucking jehovahs witnesses at one point in our lives, and we have been deceptively forced to give up our very own individuality to become one group united under, supposedly, god's only earthly organization.

  just maybe, maybe throughout your much hated dull life, as a brainless witness, you weren't allowed to experience the necessities of life, such as satan's blaring rock and roll that you oh so always wanted to listen to, dressing up in those flaming hot name brand clothes lines, being part of a sports team, knowing what true bonding friendship and competition really meant, or chosing those friends you know would never turn you in for having that nightly drink at the club.

  now that we know the real truth, and the damage has been done, what have you done to repair it?

  I hated that movie. LOL
  You are who you are. Don't give in to the societal pressure of 'fitting in' anywhere; this will cause you to change in an unnatural way. That can create more harm than good. This is how the elitists of society separate the 'worthy' from the 'unworthy'. It's definitely a dying trend. I don't necessarily feel that one must 'fit in' to find his or her clique. I'm NOTHING like any of my friends. We don't even like the same type of music! We simply accept one another as we are.
  Just take things one day at a time and do what makes you happy. Get out and mingle as a unique individual. Things will come together.

  NTA,

  Exactly. I fit into the undefined category, which I guess can be defined as an abstract label. I find myself constantly changing and evolving, probably faster and more frequently than most (is that redundant?), and I can never settle on one concrete 'label', and I don't strive to do so.

  I'm just me. I don't feel the need to fit in anywhere. I know I don't necessarily fit in here, but I choose to hang around to share ideas, learn, and possibly support someone with whom I can relate. That's what life's all about.

  Who am I?

  I'm simply Jason, undefined.

  Why should I define myself with a label? Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, Straight, Gay, White Collar, Blue Collar, Happy, Sad, Indifferent...it's all bullshit. I am what I feel at any given moment.

  Labels are confining. We look to define who we are and limit ourselves based on the definition. We look to 'fit in', to 'settle', to 'belong'. And for what? Why do people choose to limit themselves? It makes no logical sense.

  How much science we take on "faith"

  no real point here, just a funny thought popped in my head as i was reading yet another thread where people were being hammered with scientific facts and theories and i was nodding my head agreeing with the rational fact based explination when a thought occured to me: i take quite a bit of science on "faith".. what i mean is this, when i am reading the explination of particle physics, quantum mechanics, or molecular biology i have to take it on faith as i can't do the mathematical proofs and so on to verify what i am being told and i assume that is the case with most of us non-rocket scientists, and probably even many in the fields of science and technology.

  i like science, i enjoy reading discovery magazine and trying to keep up on the latest techno advancements, but i realized how much of it i take on "faith" as i have no way to verify or disprove what i am being told by a scientist.

  i recall einstein saying once that something like 6 people in the world truly understood the implications of his work.. so if you want to argue "faith", i'd say that many that believe in science have just as much faith as those that believe in religion.

  so what evidence is there that satan is running the wtb&ts instead of god?.

  what are their proofs that god is running the show and what evidence is there that god is not running the show.. could be interesting to see what we can all come up with.

  DUI for me.

  I vowed never to do it again (I never should have done it in the first place) when I blacked out on the way home and woke up in my garage with the car still running. I actually don't remember waking up...my neighbor told me about it the next day. She said she banged on the garage window until I turned the car off to see what she wanted, then slowly stumbed into the house.

  Back To School--School Uniforms, Good or Bad?

  we just got back from texas'.

  they had their annual tax free weekend.

  with hotel, gas, food, and shopping, we spent $1000.00 easy.

  Were thses kids witnesses? That effects a lot.

  No, they were hellians! I know there's not much difference.

  I found them out in my father's workshop passing around a joint and drinking his beer. They had no concern that he could walk in at any minute and bust 'em. One kid was feeling up his girlfriend right in front of everyone, and they just sat there like it was normal.

  When I was that age we at least took our girlfriends around the back of the workshop for some privacy.

  I don't think it's good for people to have sex before they're mature enough to handle the responsibility.

  My parents had a group of 15-17 year olds come to a pool party last year, and...no...they shouldn't be having any form of sex outside of masturbation. Maybe two kids out of the group of 12 acted like they had their heads screwed on straight.
