by larc inthe world of psychological testing is a fascinating place, so i thought i would share part of my story with you.. when i was in graduate school, one of my professors asked me if i would like to work in his private practice administering psychological tests.
of course, i was excited at the chance of having this opportunity.

by Leander inmy personal hell has started since i told my wife i was stepping down and why i was doing so.
she has barely said 2 sentences to me in the last 24 hours, but i can understand her being upset so i'm trying my best to remain patient.. yesterday afternoon i told my cousin who is also one of my closest friends about my decision.
we ended up talking about it for more than 4 hours.

Do you beleive in God, the bible or religion?
by Leander ini'm pretty sure this question has probably been asked before but i'd like to put it out here and see what the responses are.
my doubts about the bible probably began maybe 6 or 7 years ago, they were very small ones however and i managed to supress them for quite a while.
however certain events in my life would make those events resurface.

Pick Six
by SixofNine inlast weekend, i helped a friend with his entry in a 24 hour video competition (we won in our catagory, btw).
i am an extra (non speaking)in the film.
first one to correctly identify me gets dinner and a movie.

Where "live and let live" ends.
by D8TA ina question in a post and by an e-mail was sent to me regarding my "live and let live" life style that i attributed to myself, and something i live by.. to clear that up, i take each person i come in contact on an individual bases.. however, should such a person or organization come in to my area, punch my sister in the eye...then proceed to come to me and punch me in the eye.
"live and let live" pretty much goes out the window at that point.
that's a situation of "direct attack", and i just don't turn my cheek with that.. there are a few people on this board that i'm willing to discuss the situation that had happened to me this past friday.

You've got a good point about not "raising" your voice at your children. It suffices to pick them up and take them away from what ever they were doing if the situation is that serious.
Most parents get frustrated because they don't understand that, sooner or later, you must teach your kids reasoning skills.

Dubs and the coffee break..
by Princess inthis morning as i was running a few errands with my daughter, i stopped in at a seattle's best coffee shop.
there were a couple of sisters sitting in the corner pretending they didn't see me.
after i got my coffee and a cookie for my daughter, a couple more dubs came in, both pretending they didn't recognize me.

I always had "wordly" friends when I was growing up. I didn't start spending quality time with them until high school, unfortunately.
If your friend is an intelligent one, he will not give you grief or try to force you to convert so that he can 'have your friendship'.
It was easy for me to see that many of my schoolmates, besides being talented individuals, were better 'associates' than the JW youth.
