honestly, do you think that jw's really like going to 3 or 4 day assemblies, especially when it's out of town, far away, and you have to take a motel room, and all the gas money and food money it takes, as well as having to sit down all day listening to endless talks...and that for 3 or 4 days in a row.. and often, they have to take a day off from work, to attend the friday meeting, so no pay for that day.. i think that the jw's are glad when it's finally over, not before.. .

i have been reading over the forum today and something hit me.
because i don't look up everyone's histories, there are people i assumed were either male or female--partly based on their avatar and partly based on the type of comments they make.
well guess what folks--i was shocked to find out i was wrong about a few people.. does anyone else out there decide that certain posters are male or female, and then find out they're wrong?
I think it will. But I can never tell what they are saying when they speak our language in that silly TV accent of theirs, so fairs fair.
I think they put their accents on, and when they get home they all take their wigs off and speak broad yorkshire.

I didnt know what 'do not feed the trolls' meant until I read a thread started and defended by troll, then it was all clear to me. They are like Jehoobahs electronic toys, with Ever ready batteries in. They never shut up, and everything they write has the genuine whine of a self righteous person. They are totally humourless, they cant detect normal cues that you arent interested any more, its like they have switched off the 'human' function.

i always knew deep down that i didn't like being a jw and their had to be more to life than meetings and field service.
i just wanted to be normal, like the other kids and have sleepovers, birthday parties, after school activities and christmas etc..... my folks were and still are devout dubs and my dad in particular is the nicest man you will ever meet, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, no questions asked.

Maybe they should have speacial beating rooms for kids. They could even assign a ministereal servant to administer the beating, so that the parents dont miss any of the precious programme. They'd have to have a rota, cos their arms would start to ache.

I didnt fit in because I was trying so hard to be a genuine good dub, and the other kids were just taking the piss I think. I was like the nerdy kid that joins the chess club. I would probably frown at you if you went to the toilet in the middle of the meeting, but I would never grass you up because I was above malice and petiness (and I knew some other little gobshite would do the nasty work anyway). Also my parents were trying to be good dubs, and never got involved in any politics or gossiping. This kind of limited our social standing quite a lot. I think lots of people thought my dad was jesus, cos he looked like him (only elder to dare wear a beard) and he was so holy and witty.
Getting on this site and meeting people I like makes me feel like all the cool kids have suddenly decided chess club is THE coolest place to be, and suddenly I am accepted and maybe even liked. Its like a nerd kids wildest dream.

Ig - trouble was I wasnt a naughty little dubster. I just wanted to be naughty, but no-one wanted to be naughty with me.
Where my sister lives they say 'cop off'. As in 'did you cop off' (not neccessarily have sex). Or 'get off'. I can only imagine cop is a derivative of copulate. Which would indicate full sex. But it doesnt have to.
