My Dad died this evening
by Mulan ini thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.
he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.
the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.

College Anyone?

what is/was your major and how do/did you find the experience?

I've got to say......I'm 46 and I am taking classes at a community college. I don't even have my associates yet although I got many credits from previous classes. I have been trained and held jobs in Machine Shop, Heating & Air Conditioning and Finance. Currently I work in the Financial field for a large Company that does processing and record keeping for many Mutual Fund companies. I am really turned off by the finance business, too many unethical practices. Right now I'm taking Liberal Arts studies. I'll see how it goes and then take it from there. A little advice....Do what you love. Money isn't everything. ( although it helps )

Considering how hard it is to follow the money and where it ends up, this may be a good alternative to at least see what the Watchtower is into. Are there public records that can be obtained?

Did you drink to get over being a Witness?
by free2beme inwhen i first left the witnesses, i had some times of being really pissed at all the wasted time and the way the people acted.
i remember one time, my spouse and i decided to just get ripped.
we did and as we did, we laughed and even cried at times over the issues.

I've got to say, I was a big drinker when I was a witness. Booze was the only thing that would numb my senses while being in that f*cked up organization. I could not deal with my life as a witness and booze got me through. Funny thing is,,,,I saw a Psyc. and he helped me get off the booze. Once I stopped drinking, I got my mind back and became strong enough to leave. I never realized it at the time, but the booze was the thing that kepted me in there for as long as I did.

The deed clearly states that the property was sold to Rutherford for $10.00. The person who sold him the property had no wife or family to leave it to. Looks like the judge conned this guy into giving it to him for cheap money. When I received the copy of this deed, I was dating a woman who had been involved in real estate for over 20 years, when she read the information in the deed, she said that the guy who bought the property conned the seller. It's very interesting to read the details in the deed.
