Yesterday's Watchtower, Bible Comments

the whole meeting for me was nauseating yesterday... the talk was on "science".. nuff said... then the watchtower, they are just spinning in circles patting themselves on the back lately it seems, but this is one thing that really stuck out to me.. i heard the comment multiple times about how the 2013 version of nwt made things "easier to understand" "simpler" and so on.

this has been one of my main beefs with yhwh and his book.

In the 1960s-1990s we were told "The New World Translation was superior because it's a literal translation, not a thought translation that was subject to the authors(committees) bias, presuppositions(personal beliefs by slipping in their own opinions) and whims of each Bible translated!". The New World Translation was suppose to be free of Trinity, Immortal Soul and Hell Fire slants for the reader to make a conscious choice unhindered by scholars with agendas!

here's why the governing body did that little line on jw broadcasting, i have a source still inside new york and being as sneaky as ever, the watchtower is claiming they need the cash because they forgave the kingdom hall mortgages!

not all the kingdom halls are hitting the targeted monthly donation-revenue range, they are still asking other kingdom halls to pony up cash for kingdom halls that can't afford the "recommended donation rate".

pure evil, that's the jehovah"s witness watchtower theocratic war in action!

Watchtower can use the Ad on my side bar, the Watchtower make's great decisions buying Real Estate, too bad they can't get their sheep to give enough money to cover expenses like other churches do, must not have Jehovah's backing? PS, I am not that old, am I? Is JWN trying to tell me something because I had that weird unnatural fear the Watchtower instilled inside me as a child!

HQ tells their Worldwide Congregation any lie or half-truth they want, without reasoning things out the Publisher must believe or keep their mouth shut lest they get labeled a faultfinding murmurer. They are falling apart if they are lying about the arrangement they themselves created, "We are forgiving your debts but you still must keep paying the same or greater sum forever!", a perpetual dividend from each Kingdom Hall.

Witnesses are worried the Watchtower is hurting financially after their massive gesture of goodwill and yes after speaking with him and several other people in charge, that's how their spinning this mess! The "Loan Forgiveness" program flopped according to a few people in the financial know or it's being presented this way. I am writing while on the phone, the Kingdom Hall donations are dropping unexpectedly, they screwed up!

couple of weeks ago an elder took a young man aside and crawled all over him after the tms for wearing a "skinny" tie.

it was one of those 2 inch wide ties.

nothing bright or scandalous about.

My Last thoughts in Field Service Before the Elderly Man Shat Himself and Pissed his pants in My New Car!

debating this was going to be the last day in field service was not hard after dealing with a nasty mess because i was grouped with the misfits of the kingdom hall!

i was reading this website on my phone while something started to stink in my car and one of the weird kids nobody wanted to work with yelled "hey, you leaking all over my seat, he was freaked out too!

" the older, retired elder, his pioneer daughter had forgotten to put his depends on and that became my problem.

"Field Service used as a drop off Day Care" oh Hell Yeah! We had your problem too, having bigger cars meant you could carry around the entire JW Brady Bunch plus Partridge Family's too! Kids probably don't remember the Partridge Family drove around in a bus, can you imagine how many witnesses would love this arrangement if we had a fridge, bathroom and beer-tap (for our elders that carried a flask in their book bags, yes they did!). There's nothing like knocking on the doors and having your four year old peeing on their daisies, the kind householder who laughed so hard and offered me a beer after looking at my face turn beet red saying "I am a grand-dad, your gonna get through this too!" laughing with a Kris Kringle Chucke(he was a really kind person and never yelled at the frequent visits by crazy pioneers trying to hit Super Pioneer hours. You know their type, we often spoke of them with "Oh he/she would make a good witness if only they would become a JW), what a good sports many of our householders were even those who got angry deserved to be pissed off!

When I was younger I had ladies come to the door totally naked(and yes, it crossed my mind to do a "service call!) just to mess with us, if I had the mind I have now, I would have carried a "Wild Female Care Kit" asking her to teach me all the secrets to lovemaking :) We really did experience something nobody else can relate to, all the rules and mind numbing doctrinal changes while debating the same things over and over (Trinity, Soul, Hell-fire, 144,000) like the Rapture, how do JWs now explain that little gem? I was asked by someone why I would want to go to the Apostafest after leaving the Cult because they don't want anything to do with anything JW related and believe all we are going to do "Is talk about the Organization and JW things the entire time!", they are really upset beyond consolation now. I think we can laugh about our Field Service memories unlike him, we look back and see some of the fun and absurdity of it all! I should have had a Field Service Partner who liked Stevie Ray Vaun and took wild meds!

ROFLMAO! I saw some 50 something elder slamming(like 10 times) someone's Toyota (Their seat-belts are notorious loose on 1999-2007 models Minivans, Tundras and SUVs) because it would not close, he bent the brother's brand new Sequoia's door! Next week in Field Service 90 year old brother-cranky ass backed up in to the POs Toyota(Same car!) and drove off after looking at the impression he made! Don't feel bad for the older Elder because I was not the only car he shat in, he did relieve himself on the front lawn or corner of the householders home frequently. He was a total asshole to people when I was a kid, his loud and obnoxious mouth ran almost as much as his bowels, not a nice man so don't feel bad for him! So many good points here, I started laughing from the start and when I read Cappy's post, it brought back all them good Field Service memories!

jehoopla promised the israelites lots of great stuff in the promised land, but they didn't believe him so they sent spies to check it out.

they came back with fruit so large it had to be carried on a branch by 2 men.. from this, dubs believe they are going to have strawberries the size of king king's skull when they get to their own promised land (the new system).

Dave Wilson uses Zeiglar Genetics in the San Juaquin Valley, Zaigler has produced the strangest and hardest stone-fruits, apples, blueberries (Plue-erries), Aprium, Pea-cot-um through millions of trial and error plantings plus his resistant root-stocks are world famous. If the Universal Consciousness decided to make things big by turning up the Earths productive powers, it's not far from imagination. People ask us to believe Life sprouted from Nothingness, my brain has a much harder time wrapping it's head around that than over-sized fruits I have seen at Fairs in the Midwest and Georgia hybrid peaches! Just my opinion as a grower (eight generations our family grow and raised cattle at various times and back to Holland where they probably grew tulips bulbs of tremendous size)

as some of you know i was given pdf files of much of the conti and lopez child abuse court cases and asked from a friend to peruse through it and post some excerpts on the board here that may have been missed or not addressed in the pbs newshour report or the abc news nightline report.

so after going through this richard ashe testimony i feel i found something quite interesting that exposes the real attitudes of the wt society leaders towards child abuse and the attitudes wt leaders put into it's appointed men's minds as well.

the viewpoint that richard ashe displays is repeated in elders throughout thousands of jw congregations on this planet.

Your correct, these unpaid liars unlike the paid ones (Circuit Overseers and above) told us "you can get disfellowshiped for gossiping if you share inside-information on Judicial Things, their dishonesty transcends only all embitterment they bring upon each member of the Kingdom Hall who can freely think! Great catch locating that little gem, JWs are so stupid(I've been out for a short period of time and I am calling them stupid(I was really stupid!) they will defend the Watchtower Organization and disown Jesus Christ if asked to do it! He perjured himself straight to Hell, still don't know if I believe in Hell but if it's real, it's reserved for liars like this!

They complained to a young brother about his bow-ties, than bothered, no they harassed a Southerner background Witness about his fashion style(until he changed his clothing to a white shirt with plain tie), strange how these Elders said not one word to the "district overseer" who loved to wear strange looking wore bow-ties! What hypocrites and bullies men getting power over a group of social misfits become, their god is really picking on bow-tie wearing young men.

Books For Believers in Intelligent Designer and want to get deeper in to the Debate without getting angry!

hi, there's been so many threads going off on atheism, evolution and science but most end quickly because many can't hold their own without getting abusive, angry and lots of hard feelings against our friends here who helped us get beyond all the confusion and fear plus uncertainty we all felt trying to leave the cult!

when you can bring up interesting topics and share ideas through intelligent discussion it's possible we could lose all the anger that ensues on our adult boards!

here's a book i heard dr. richard dawkins bring up saying he liked the logic and reasoning of peter medawar's book, why not evaluate it yourself?

I think you will find his skeptical approach very balanced, one issue that's popping it's head up of late is people making claims there are not "absolutes" while the following statement just contradicted itself (The claim "there are not absolutes" is a absolute :).

Watching the video where the bullies attacked the poor JW trolley or cart pusher bugged me because he turned someone's hypothosis in to a theory without any backing. Find the video where the man said "Dr. Lawerence Krausse has proved the Universe came from nothing", when pushed on what "nothing is", Krausse getting blasted by several scientist of his caliber said he was being dishonest with the term "nothing". How was the JW kid suppose to know and if this kid decides, "I am going to look up what the apostate said" discovers the apostate does not know what he's talking about because he blindly used Dr. Krausses(Quantum Vacuum Model) hypothosis to impress a JW Kid, how does that help our efforts to get kids outside the Cult while their still kids, read the following if you don't mind from the website "Why Evolution Is True":
