Well I wouldn't post my photo where everyone can see it, but in choice of pic I've tried to choose something that's as close to me as possible. Fencing is my secret other side of life :)

Do you have a mental image of other posters on this site?
by dh ina lot of people here have posted their photo's, but i think the majority haven't... i sometimes wonder when reading posts on here, what person making those posts must look like, not that i want to see their photo, i just find it interesting... i recently got to see a photo of someone i have talked to on here since i first joined, and i had to say the person looked an awful lot like i had imagined, so i wondered if anyone else wonders about things like this?
is there a particular poster you have a mental image of?
care to share it and see if the person really looks like what you think they look like?

At times, faithful ones in the congregation may be in need of material assistance
Faithful ones??? that's rather subjective statement. Might also mean whoever church elders don't fancy these are "screwed" forgive my language, which is exactly what happened in this case...

Thank you sass, very interesting indeed.
Reason I’ve asked was because my mom tells me that a witness would be “disciplined” for going to Salvation Army for food when they didn’t have any. Rather weird, don’t you think.?!?
Which brings me to very strange case of immigrant witnesses left virtually out on cold because they couldn’t attend meetings regularly, whatever that means. Apparently, man was even imprisoned for refusing to go to army in his native country, both were full time evangelizers. They’ve got a baby now and church elders are so freakin cold that even I and my hubby felt creeps going down our spines. Anyway, we are now trying to help them. So much for “brotherly love”, whatever that means.

The question was about addiction to this site not obsession with everything else JW-related :)
But thanks for the input. And on another note I didn't really want to offend any of you or cause hurt feeling, just want to make that clear
And for rest of you that are still wondering why I'm here: Well I've already answered that question couple of days ago but here it is again. My mom and several other cousins and siblings have been lost to this cult. Wanted to suck me in as well, but luckily neither I nor my hubby are that religiously desperate (read nuts) so we asked them to stop.. But I can't just stand and watch all of them being lost forever, it's all so weird.

Thanks guys and gals for all your responses I'm just reading them now, being a newbi i didn't expect that so many of you would come forward. Thank you so much.
No Danny, I'm not JW (read my other posts and you'll see why I'm here, there are not that many of them) and I'd appreciate if you don't call me mate as I'm a lady
Blondie's comment got me thinking ... perhaps you're right. I didn't expect to initiate any deep soul searching exercise as some of you took it apparently :-) just thought that my friend's comment about spending too much time were interesting. But anyway, thank you for all your responses.

Part of the reason for posting this question is because I've been here, what?, 2 days, and I've spent about 15 on this site alone reading, that gotta account for something lol
