Does anyone have a ZIP?..dont feel like clicking all those links
alright.
so i got a sendspace and uploaded the whole thing except for the songs and morning music.. the link to all the mp3's is here!
for some reason it starts with the last talk first but they're all numbered and titled according to the convention so it should'nt be too hard i hope.. do with them what you please, upload them to youtube, send them to friends & family, or just see how far you can stomach some of the "fine spiritual food that the faithful and discreet slave has prepared for us this year".. some key talks you might wanna listen to are 12 symposium: the truth sets us free, 16 believe inspired truth, not inspired error, 20 symposium: reject what is false!

i don't anticipate seeing this article, or its supporting data, referenced in any wt publications anytime soon.... ....................................... http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/20/business/college-degree-required-by-increasing-number-of-companies.html?hpw&_r=0.
a few excerpts:.
the college degree is becoming the new high school diploma: the new minimum requirement, albeit an expensive one, for getting even the lowest-level job.. like other employers across the country, the firm hires only people with a bachelors degree, even for jobs that do not require college-level skills.
But there will always be "windows to wash" and "carpets that need cleaning" ......no degree required.
like many on here, as a jw trying hard to follow the direction of the gb, i listened to the advice to pioneer and trust in jehovah to provide (mat6.33) instead of going to university.
after struggling for ages in low-paid physically-demanding jobs, i decided to become a student (thanks for the encouragement on here guys!).
i tell a jw i wish i had been to university when i was a teenager, and put all that pioneer time into studying hard for a good grade, get a good job, and if i had wound up tired as i am now, at least i would have been paying into a mortgage on a home and pension.

Well ok lets think about this.
Yes they discourage higher education to no limit. It is pretty sick.
BUT.......your friend was right. I mean you did chose not to go to college. Their influence cannot be denied, but YOU made the choice not to go.
The only reason I'm even bringing this up, is because sometimes taking responsabiltiy for your actions, even if bullied into it, is a serious step to healing. This persons ignorance notwithstanding, it simply just doesn't matter. You are where you are because of decisions you have made. Now you are making different ones, and life is good! Don't let things that have already happened, impact you now. Know what I mean?
I mean this with love brother...but, get a clue.
In a court of law, when you sign a contract under duress it then becomes void, null and invalid. We also made decision within the organization under duress, therefore we are not liable for the decisions we HAD to make..."or else". You're blaming the victim for being victimized. That's like blaming a rape victim instead of blaming the rapist. You're shifting responsibility from the person who was responsible - to the victim.
I understand you're telling the OP to "man up" and "quit with the victim mentality" and showing tough love, but you are 100% wrong in your logic. That's very dangerous logic, because it opens the door for us to intentionally hinder another person, and then blaming that person for allowing us to hinder them..."it's YOUR fault that you obeyed me!"
I understand that were never going to get an apology from the WTBTS or from our parents, even though we're owed an apology. But we didn't choose this religion, we're not at fault for obeying the rules that were laid out for us. If you want to blame someone, blame the people who made the rules and not the people who followed the rules.
this is a very disturbing account from a jw girl who posted this on another site.
please don't read if you will be affected by the comments... i'm 23 years of age and i was raised as a jehovah's witness.
thanks to my cousin for introducing me to "apostate" videos online, and a few other major reasons that i will get to soon, i've disassociated myself for a little over a year now.
Sad, very sad.
i'm looking to purchase a 10" tablet & are seriously considering the acer iconia 16gb.
price has alot to do with it au$355.
i don't need 3g as i have portable wifi & i don't want the extra month cost.
whatever you decide, do NOT buy an iPad...they are too limited in what they can do + all other tablets run circles around the ipad.
it's essentially useless unless you jail break it, and the newer ipads cannot be jailbroken.
don't buy an ipad, you will regret it!
regards
regarding worldly people, shows or toys?
etc...what quotes annoyed you the most?.
for me it was "well, you have to remember, they're worldly"... "don't trust anyone who isn't in the truth" "they may be nice but they are not friends of jehovah"... just a few to name.
Hello "friends"
Make the truth your own
we give our children gifts year round

Jesus never celebrated his birthday, in fact jesus wasn't even born on dec 25th

i just recieved a "care package" from my mother (i'm inactive, haven't been to a meeting in a few months but haven't specifically said to her that i don't want to be a jw anymore) and in it, among other things, are 2 new brochures (one is simplified) called listen to god and live forever.. has anyone else seen these?
i think you can get them in pdf form on the jw.org website.
has anyone else noticed some of the weird pictures?
just finished reading the brochure..
and you're right, the pics take on a different meaning than the words in the magazine.
It's sad that they use material like this to pull the "bait-and-switch" with new followers.
but its just a steaming pile of non-sense just like most of their literature.

SANTA ANA (CBS) — A young Fullerton mom is headed to prison on Friday for drowning her newborn baby in a toilet.
KNX 1070′s Mike Landa reports Yanira Valderrama, 21, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of child abuse and inflicting great bodily injury.
Valderrama was reportedly embarrassed by her pregnancy and attempted to conceal it from her Jehovah Witness family, a deputy public defender said.
Orange County prosecutor Steve McGreevy said Valderrama’s baby boy drowned when she gave birth into a bathroom toilet on Sept. 4, 2009.
“There was a lot of bleeding and shock, and she unfortunately didn’t act well and left the baby underwater for an extended period of time so that the baby could never get oxygen,” said McGreevy.
She eventually removed the baby from the toilet, wrapped his lifeless body, and put the baby in a wastebasket in her bedroom, McGreevy said.
Later that night, the defendant’s mother saw blood in the bathroom, found the discarded placenta and called police, who found the newborn in the trash can.
Valderrama was taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed she had just given birth, according to prosecutors.
