Did you hear Stewart use the bible to prove an incredibly good point to Jackson!!
by umbertoecho ini thought at the end, stewart made brilliant use of scripture (about establishing fornication or other sexually immoral practises) how, in such a clever way stewart used scripture to point out that some one could basically stake out someone's house to see if a person stayed over night be they homosexual or heterosexual............that on the basis of a sort of stakeout, the two witness rule was ambivalent yet it prevailed.
due to sufficient suspicion.. and therefore why did this "suspicion" not prevail with child sexual abuse.

I think the point is that the whole stupid JC should NOT happen in cases of child abuse. It should be immediately turned over to the police. Let professionals, trained ones, deal with crimes against children. NOT a bunch of untrained yahoos who are in an old boys club with all the other guys in the congregation, especially elders and MS's and pioneers. Anyone really active in the congregation is going to have more access and more buddies to stick up for him. I LOATHE that. -

GB member Geoffrey Jackson is lying!
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inokay, i know the royal commission hasn't started yet.
but i'm confident enough that he will be telling some whoppers.
so i thought i'd be the first to get a thread started for something that will begin... very soon now!.

Irritating and out of context use of scripture is starting to annoy me. The way he is saying the PAGE NUMBER, assuming that Stewart cannot find it. PISSING ME OFF royally. -

now he is implying that JWs are so much more close than normal church members(somehow deciding that unilaterally). . . and yet will suggest that all the chumminess (incestuousness) of the entire congregation - particularly the brothers- is totally imagined by apostates and/or victims. -

LIAR, they do SO judge victims!!! I was raped and at the age of 13 subjected to a JC. They were NOT there to support me, but to interrogate me as to if I really WAS a victim. (No other JW involved, even!) -

Deborah was a judge. . .why are they resisting it as some biblical requirement? -

He knows his JW double talk well!
I missed out on their reasoning for the 7 GB members and the 13 helpers. . . I couldn't get the link to work. Scriptures?

I'm getting that ultimately, no one takes responsibility for wrong information-because every last one of 'em can slough it off on another department. -

Witness behavior in my gym ....
by SecretSlaveClass inabout two months ago two very attractive ladies in their mid 30's signed on at one of the gyms i belong to.
for a while i noticed them watching me and naturally i assumed they were taking an interest in how i went about training my clients since many do before they decide to approach me and inquire about my services (i own a health and fitness consultancy).. sure enough one of them approached me a few weeks back and asked me for a business card, inquired about rates and various other aspects involved with signing on with me.
i handed her a card and explained that my client schedule was full but she should consider signing on with one of my personal trainers who still had some open spots available.

A friend that flirts openly with you though would not be a kind relationship to your wife. You had to shut that down and she forced you do do it quite firmly.
To all husbands, JW or not, letting your wife know that you like and respect her is necessary. Be overt in other than sexual ways as well as the sexual. And yes, she needs more than to get the tell tell poke when you spoon to tell her that you love her. You could sleep with your dog or a tent full of men and wake up with morning wood. That doesn't make us feel particularly cherished:)
