Yeah, this is the WT I remember. I think the reasons stopped being part of the announcement around 1975. Probably got too embarrassing for the WT. There was definitely the special needs talk afterwards. It for more vague after 1980 or so. Still not at all subtle.

Babygirl, probably because some of us used to BE the troll. And others of us like the intellectual(?) exercise of there exchanges.
Gotta admit though, he isn't stretching my intellect much and he is not very good at faking being 's study'. He is not any kind of challenge.

My Dad wants to study with me
by BlackWolf inso my parents continue to pester me about getting baptized.
the other day my dad told me that i was old enough to make a decision, and was wondering why i wasn't ready (assembly is in a few weeks) so i told him calmly that i have many doubts and if i were to get baptized it has to be 100 percent my idea.
he was a little annoyed by this, and now wants to study the "is there a creator that cares about you" book (which is complete bs) with me.

I don't think studying with dad is a good idea. The anger issue could bring things to a quick head. I think it would be better to have a conversation with an elder, telling them you love Jehovah, but you read the article about dedications/baptism being nonrevokable and recognizing how critical the decision is, you feel like you are being pressurized to make a decision that you aren't ready to make. I don't think it's bad to point out any examples of those who baptised and are now shunned and ostracised until elders decide they are repentant enough.
If there is physical abuse in your home, please get help and remove yourself from danger.

So, Believer, you showed the WT teaching that Excludes the majority of humanity from having Jesus as mediator. As an unbaptized study, do you believe him to be your mediator now? Have you talked to your study conductor about your understanding?

Believer, you said "
Some think of a cult as being a new or unorthodox religion.Jehovah’s Witnesses have not invented a new religion. On the contrary, we pattern our worship after that of the first-century Christians, whose example and teachings were recorded in the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) We believe that the Holy Scriptures should be the authority on what is orthodox in matters of worship."
But you believe that the WT has the authority to interpret those scriptures and that when they change their interpretation or understanding, then you are obligated to take on their current truth. You don't think that is culty?
You said," Some think of a cult as being a dangerous religious sect with a human leader. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not look to any human as their leader. Rather, we adhere to the standard that Jesus set for his followers when he stated: “Your Leader is one, the Christ.”—Matthew 23:10."
The truth is, the JWs are obligated to follow the interpretation of the current WT leadership in matters of life and death, from refusing any national service, refusing to buy a card(malawi) refusing immunization s, refusing all blood, refusing parts of blood, refusing organ replacements. . .whether for themselves or living and unborn children, they are willing to die for, and indeed obligated to do so, in order to prove their loyalty to the WT leadership.
God, Jesus or the bible didn't make any of these things loyalty tests, men did. They are a condition, or used to be, to remain in the org and indeed, to maintain family and social ties.

The number of 144,000 is literal, but the Jewish virgins from defined tribes. . .is not? Did your reputable bible scholars say so?

You think you have found the true religion?
James 1:27
"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."Religion is personal, not organizational.you don't find it or join it. You practice it. Supporting and promoting a publishing company is not true religion. Offering magazines or a web address isn't. Picking up a stadium to get preferred rates isn't. Reporting service hours selling mags isn't. Meetings isn't. All the things that the WT expects of you to prove you are really a JW has nothing to do with what the Bible says shows one is practicing pure religion.

Instead of maligning ALL immigrants, it would be good to jail then deport the criminals. I wish they'd do it across the board whether they come as workers, spouses or refugees. Too bad all violent criminals can't be deported, but most are natural born citizens. We should be more alarmed about the ones that remain in our communities after incarceration.
