  considering the fact we've had so many newbies here i thought it would be good to just open it up to you folks to see how life is going for you since you exited the witnesses ?

  it's hard many times to move on- however with lots of ex-witnesses on the board here who have been through similar experiences - perhaps those of us who have been out awhile can give you someideas on how to move on in your post jw life to make it a little easier .

  so fire away newbies and recently exited jw 's.

  also don't know if this has been mentioned previously.. our speaker yesterday, gb member br.

  pierce, tied the overlap theory directly to fred franz's lifetime.. did anyone else catch this?.

  evidently (and i'm paraphrasing), anyone anointed after franz's death in 1992 is not of the 'generation'.. 5th.

  5th generation, were you happy when you were "in"?

  In a sense, yes i was happier when I was ignorantly blissful living in the Matrix.

  But I took the red pill and the veil is lifted now though so I guess I have to learn to live with it.

  I guess you missed my point.

  Regardless of whether it's in print, Pierce said "those anointed after 1992 are not part of the Generation that will by no means pass away".

  Was Freddie was the last one to die from the first generation?

  That might be it sherah. Good observation.

  However, John Barr is still alive and was born in 1913...

  And we're back to the 'eyes of understanding' theory! LOL

  Generation that was anointed prior to 1992....

  I just don't understand HOW and WHY they pulled that out of the thin air.

  What does Freddie have to do with it at all?

  Unless he misspoke.

  GB members seem to often go off on tangents.

  I'm miserable.

  Family 100 years in the Truth™.

  Massive pressure and guilt building momentum regarding not raising my kids in and attending meetings.

  Still lost and don't know what my next move is.

  Today's Drama

  went to the convention today.. don't know if this was posted on but one thing bugged me above and beyond.. it was how the drama interjected modern day theocratic terms.. 'the elders want the brothers to leave jerusalem...'.

  'i just got back from preaching and so-and-so wants to start coming to the meetings...' .

  really disingenuous.
