why do the brothers take such offense when someone says that the meetings are boring?.
i can't possibly fathom how people who have been going to the meetings for decades can sit at the kh and listen, for example, to yesterday's wt study for an hour about adam and eve, cain and abel, how we are all allowed to pray, blah, blah, blah... and not be bored out of their minds!.

my parents used to find out where the local kingdom hall was and drag us along to the sunday meeting when we went on holidays.

You say you 'thought' you were happy. So then you are basically saying that at the time you 'were' happy and that's all I was saying.
I will officially rephrase my position... I believe most Jehovah's Witnesses 'think' they are happy.

However, now that you bring it up, when I was active and serving and pioneering, of course I loved being in the truth. Why the hell else would I have done it if I didn't believe it completely?

Just because you were a lump when you were a publisher doesn't mean "most" JWs don't like their routines being part of the organization. I'll point to the thousands of people I've know in my life that are just as zealous as I remember they were 20 years ago. Unless of course they are still just faking it! LOL
