Yes, but you must surely realize, now that you've left, that many of those people simply love and respect their family enough to just suck it up and go once a year.
Not hypocritical as far as I'm concerned. Actually, quite loving in a lot of cases for them to make that sacrifice.
I think most would still want to stay in but a lot would start talking about the guilt and pressure, the Pharisaical rules for everything and the CRAZY work load.

In his current situation, to just simply dismiss his friends as 'not real' is not necessarily accurate.
And, BTW, yes, a lot of my old truth friends are still friends despite my not being at a meeting since last Memorial.
