Thanks, I thought so. I found it hard to believe the Watchtower would change its practices in order to comply with the laws of a single country.
It does seem to open the way for JWs baptised younger than 16 in the UK to legitimately demand an annulment.

i have read that forensic evidence can be counted as one of the two required "witnesses" for child abuse cases, however have not seen anything in writing to support this.

Yourmomma, thank you for that update. Everything I have read from ThirdWitness shows he is the master of deception in an effort to make the Watchtower look like an acceptable organisation. I will have to take that medical reports do not count as a "witness" until I see some supporting documentation.

By the time anything is reported and if it ever reaches the authorities, chances are the evidence is gone.. Mandatory reporting is a must.
That is an important point. If that say they allow foresic evidence, it is mainly to pacify the public. When a child comes forward to the elders, they don't view the medical evidence, and so treat it as if there is only one witness. Neither do they encourage a police report if not mandatory, so medical evidence may not be forthcoming, and lost by the time a child decides to take the matter further.

How many faiths are not a high control and fear based religion? All pretty much teach destruction of the wicked.
Few religions take such a hard stance as JWs on shunning, devoting a life to making money for the religion, following the leadership without question, avoiding education, and looking on everyone else as worldly and wicked.

Do we have any solid evidence that Television or Radio would actually gain significantly MORE converts?
The Watchtower does not claim their primary goal is converts, they claim they need the message to reach the farthest corners of the earth. Only 8 survived the flood, so the death of people is not their concern, they are simply the Watchman that needs to spread a message. For that reason, it is ironic that the methods that reach the most people are not being used.

Excellent points. The Witnesses make a big song and dance about being the only ones spreading Jesus' message, and yet they and particularly their beliefs are virtually unknown, due to choosing a highly inefficient means of promotion. In the meetings, they talk about their "life saving" message, and the obligation to spread it to "the farthest ends of the earth, yet overlook many of the most effective ways to spread the message. And then when people put the Watchtower's free literature for download on the internet, they hit them with copyright infringement.
