Not only is it impossible for humans to live forever on earth, it is incomprehensible. I don't think most JWs think past the 1000 years. Living for trillions of years would become unbearably mundane. With our mental capacity physically limited by how much it can store as memory, the majority of our lives would not even be remembered.

I told the elders that I would take blood and donate blood
by Daniel1555 ini found it important to be honest with my wife.
so i told her about my conscience decision that in a medical urgency i want blodless medicine but if a transfusion of blood or the 4 prohibited components is necessary to save my life or health i would accept it.
this would apply especially also for our child (that is not such a problem as in our country the wts recommends to comply with doctors as they have the right to decide concerning minors).. i showed her the reasons why i came to that conscience decision (biblical and logical reasons) and that jehovah and jesus do not like anyone to die because of this wrong bible application.. .

Daniel555 - that is the only question the elders care about, and the standard question they will ask when anyone has doubts. They don't really care if you don't believe some doctrine, as every elder disagrees with things, shelves questions, and waits for new light. But if you do not believe the Watchtower represents God's slave class, then you are an apostate and a danger to the congregation.
What I found strange in my paperwork was that non-belief in the Bible is not a matter for being disfellowshipped. See http://jwfacts.com/images/1-2005-CO-report-marked-s-303-form.gif They were only concerned if I was to tell others. When I had my judicial committee, though I had told them I did not believe the Bible, they still kept asking me if I believed the Watchtower represented the Slave. That really is what makes a person a Jehovah's Witness. I think there is a lot more fear of a person that claims not to believe in the Slave, than someone that claims not to believe in God or the Bible, because they are more of a threat to the congregation, because it indicates they have information that is a lot more damaging to a person's faith.

Our breakup was messy (and still is). I haven't seen my baby daughter for 2 years now. Have one grainy picture of her. My fault? I feel so.
That is very sad. I do hope that you can work out some sort of contact. If your wife is still a believer, then she may try to prevent it, but the bond with a child is very strong and important. Even if you can work out some way to have a minor involvement remotely such as through Skype, as it is not fair on a child not to know their father.

I arrived at this place as an optimistic, outgoing, refreshing person - been like that for all my Life and turned into a dark, suicidal and toxic soul. A stream of many events led to that point. It was not one single ocurrence, but the amount of evidence started to pile up in my mind - evidence that this was not the truth.
That's exactly what happened to me at Bethel.
the true, cold, hard facts was far to evident to ignore: there is and never was and never will be anything divine, holy or "spiritual" going on "behind the curtains". I ripped it open and there was nothing. The ghosts where all gone for me, to never come back again.
Exactly.

Now you know it is not the truth, it will be hard to attend the meetings without getting annoyed at the bigotry and ignorance that comes from the platform. Also, as mentioned, it was not all roses, or you would not have left.
Since you need a social group, why not join a more modern, less controlling Church or club?

" Jehovah's Witnesses " were NOT Jonadabs!!??!?
by DATA-DOG in2/15/1966 wt.
identifying the present-day beneficiaries.
15) in speaking of the marking work, page 111 of vindication said that this work of giving the testimony is not for the purpose of converting the people of the world and bringing them into some organization, but it is to make known the fact that those who desire to flee from the wicked organization of christendom may do so and declare themselves on the lords side, and thus be in line to be brought through the time of trouble, when the slaughtering begins.

However, great joy was now near for the Jonadab company or “other sheep. ”
What a dishonest spin. Up to that time, the other sheep were the milllions of worldly people on earth that were going to survive into paradise. The Great Crowd were those that were going to heaven, but not as the ruling 144,000. I don't see how it was great joy for the millions on earth to be told that they were going to be destroyed at Armageddon, or for the great crowd to be told they were no longer going to heaven, but would remain on earth. At that time, the most JWs thought they were of the 144,000, so married couples where one thought they were of the Great Crowd and the other of the 144,000 suddenly realised they would not be together in the future.

They will ask if you believe the F&D slave is God's chosen channel. That is where you set yourself up to be disfellowshipped, so think carefully about how you want to answer. If you do not want to be disfellowshipped, so the least amount possible.
It is going to be a very risky discussion, that will be hard to get through if the elders want to disfellowship you, because if you say you still believe in the Slave, then they will say your thoughts on blood show otherwise.
If you chose to say that it is God's channel, and they push you regarding your decision on blood, you could say that since JWs used to take blood, then didn't, and now can take some components, it is quite obvious this doctrine has not been directed by God. Especially since the current doctrine is contradictory when it allows taking blood components, but not donating blood. You are not prepared to put your life in the hands of the Slave on this matter when they have not yet got it right. (that sort of conversation will have them wondering where you found all that out and if you have been reading apostate sites.)

I have a 5 1/2 year old.
My father in law wants us to allow my son to make the decision if he wants to attend the meetings or not.
Of course the father in law does. He knows how important that is for the indoctrination process. Did the FIL let his son choose at 6 whether he wanted to go to meetings or not? At the age of 16 was your husband given the choice? I'm pretty sure your FIL is being a hypocrite.
My son hates the religion, far more so than I was trying for. He wanted to know why my mother doesn't talk to me, so I tell him it is because I do not believe in her religion, so they make her shun me. He asks about my childhood and what I did for my birthday etc. I tell him that because I went to the Jehovah's Witness Church that I was not allowed to have birthday/christmas/halloween etc. I showed him the Bible Stories book and said how the stories say the God of that religoin murdered children in the flood and they say he is going to murder billions again at Armageddon, but lucky it is only a story and not true. I tell him I don't want my mother telling him those stories, and he does not let her.
It is more difficult with your son, as he is already partly indoctrinated, but he will respect your opinion over that of the grandparents. Just educate him about the fact that everyone believes different things and no one really knows. Ask what his friends at school believe. He will find there are several different names for God, and their beliefs are based on that of the parents. Kids are not stupid, and they pick up a lot easier than adults that it is unrealistic to think only Grandfathers religion is right, and God wants to destroy all those other children. The more fun he has and the more good friends at school, the easier it will be for you.
Whatever you do, don't let him go to meetings. I do not feel comfortable with a child being left alone with a grandparent that is a strict JW, as they are very unlikely to respect a request on them not trying to indoctrinate the grandkids.

2013-Apostates are Antichrist!

In all the above cases those composing the antichrist are shown to be headed for eventual destruction as a recompense for their opposing course.
As fear inspiring as that is supposed to be, it is no different that what is promised for everyone that is not a Watchtower follower.
I'm proud to be known by name and labelled by the Watchtower as an apostate antichrist. Obviously a more accurate term is "one of the AntiWatchtower".
