Prologos - princes house was not good enough anyway.
Do you mean Prince's house, or the House of Princes? I hear Prince's house is quite nice, fit for a King.
according to both christian and jewish eschatology, the messiah will come to jerusalem, where he will deliver the jews from hostile nations "round about.
"since the jehovah's witnesses and other adventists don't believe his coming will be literally fulfilled, but figuratively fulfilled, they simply believe he will return to the earth, where he will slay the wicked and the righteous will be caught up to meet him in the air.. first we have a christian declaration:.
and when [jesus] had spoken these things, while [the apostles] beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

what specifically made you stop believing in god and the bible?
was it a steady road of doubts or it was reading one book or one major event that made you realize the bible was not what it's claimed to be?.
.
A friend of mine was serving where the need was great in Ecuador. He read Joseph's Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces. That book made him realise on the spot that the Bible is just another book that follows the standard script of mythology.

Regarding the Bible, eventually I felt that the only water tight prophecy was the prophecy of the 70 weeks from Daniel, which had accurately foretold the coming of Jesus. That was the final pillar of my faith in the inspiration of the Bible. Once I found out that the prophecy did not originally apply to Jesus, and was reworked with such an explanation after his death, I realised that there was nothing about the Bible that made it any more than just a book, with the Old Testament being particularly offensive and barbaric.
my husband and i (both born in jws with extended family all "in" except for one of my sisters who left when we did) left the church 5 years ago.
we did not fade, we just didn't believe it anymore, told our families so and left.
obviously, big drama in our family after this, messy feelings, etc.
Any doctrine that has changed back and forth is obviously out of context and points in time. The best example is the Generation teaching which changes regularly and is very illogical now.

if so, i was just wondering if there are any books or steps (classes, etc) you took or recommend to really learn it.
and for what you recommend, what exactly do you do?
(long term, short, daytrade, calls, sell high buy low, buy low sell high, etc).
James Brown can you recommend websites that show the 30 week average?
i saw this on pinterest, and it made me think about the great global preaching campaign of august 2014. this is what i think whenever i absentmindedly take a flyer from someone.. .
when someone hands you a flyer it's like they're saying "here you throw this away.

When I give someone a tract, I'm saying "Here's your chance for everlasting life. Take it or leave it."
"God is going to condemn to death anyone that does not recognise that the tract contains their chance for everlasting life." That realisation was a bit of a turning point for me.

Me. I am more of the Warren Buffet school of thought of buying into good value companies for the long term. That way you do not have to be concerned with bull and bear markets. There is also great tax benefits, at least in Australia, since you do not pay Capital Gains tax until you sell, and then only on 50% of the gain.
Day trading is risky, particularly if you are just planning on getting into the market now, when the market is already very high.
this was the last sentence my dad wrote to gb in his letter explaining why he is disassociating from jws.
it seems gb did not send copy of the letter to the body of elders!
sometime later two elders visited him to encourage him to rethink his decision.
That is quite a remarkable comment from the nurse. As much as JWs sprout being the only ones with a hope, they have no more faith than any other person.
