They are one of the more sales focused religions, selling a very appealing message (if not totally ignorant) of never dying.

Will #metoo have an affect on forcing changing attitudes at Watchtower?
by jwfacts indespite decades of the feminist movement, watchtower's attitude of woman being inferior has changed little, with pauline sexism justified as inspired, on the basis that women are lesser emotionally, intellectually and physically.
jehovah's witnesses seem to accept this with little resistance.
is there anything about the #metoo movement that may wake followers up?

sparrowdown5 hours ago5 hours agoWT itself will probably take the opportunity to pat themselves on the back for how well they treat their women.
Yes you are probably right, same as how the child abuse reports lead them to saying how much better they handle this than any other organisation.
I can't understand how sisters do not feel unfairly treated, and see it as being an out of date boys club. I guess the ones that do feel strongly enough are the ones that leave.

Is there anything about the #metoo movement that may wake followers up? Although it focusses on sexual harassment, discussions also focus on other gender issues, such as pay inequality. Are Watchtower followers going to find these discussions compelling enough to recognise that Watchtower sexism is unacceptable?

If The Governing Body Gave Running The Corporation Over To AI?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwhat if the gb in desperation gave over their position as god(guardians of doctrine) and allowed ai to do a complete make over of policies to bring back profitability and avoid bankruptcy.. what kind of changes do you think artificial intelligence with some very good deep mind learning algorithm would make to policies to shield the corporation from further lawsuit in the future.
what type of policies would it develop in short order to save this corporation from going belly up?
what type of investments and divestments would it recommend in order to bring it back to financial solvency.. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/google-ai-robot-answers-the-meaning-of-life-and-tells-humans-how-to-be-good-10353668.html.

AI had determined the purpose of living is to “live forever.” I bet that gets quoted in a Watchtower soon. -

Why the 2 witnesses rule is not worth attacking........barking up the wrong tree!
by krismalone insome former jw protesters are wasting their time and energy "exposing" or criticizing the watchtowers 2 witness rule here's why:.
lets suppose the governing body changes this and expells anyone accused of child molestation even if accused by one person.
would that solve the problem?

Watchtower issues are a forest, not a tree. The more people barking up individual trees the better, and the two witness rule is definitely a issue worth exposure.
There are often comments requesting the one question to help a JW leave, or the main issue to expose to bring the religion down. There is no silver bullet. JWs have a vast range of reasons for why they think it is the truth, or why they want to be part of the religion. It takes a variety of tailored approaches to help, and exposure of each and every issue is worth the effort.

Bad experiences in waking someone up?
by Fred Flintstone ini mean, is it advisable to try to wake a friend up?
what about the risk of he/she falling into depression?
anger?

As already noted, if you take it upon yourself to undermine a friend’s belief, be aware they will go through a difficult time and need you to be there to support them through the process.

That is a dilemma I have faced having a website. I am of the opinion that it is better someone has access to the truth, and then choose how they react. It is actually very difficult for a person to wake up, our minds are good at protecting ourselves, so JWs are very skilled at knowing the issues with the religion and justifying them. They won’t wake up until they are ready.
There is the chance some people leaving will end up worse off, but overall most are grateful not to be wasting their lives on a lie The greater good is served by more people leaving, particularly as most that have the strength to leave are already struggling as JWs.

The ARC raised valid points to show that the two-witness rule does not need to be applied to children. There is a way out for them to ease up on this for the sake of both victims, and their own reputation. Going the other direction shows just how clueless the leaders really are.
