I would slit my wrists before worshipping the cold hearted barbarian JW's call God.

Blood - A Balanced View??
by Aude_Sapere ini think that rather than being completely anti-blood or completely accepting of doctor's decisions it is much better to remain guarded with regard to blood transfusions.
although i recently rescinded my no blood amd, i want to find a way to document that although i will accept blood, my preference is to first work with plasma expanders and the like.
today a friend of mine died.

Blood is basically an organ transplant and carries associated risks with it. I would choose not to have blood unless considered essential. But as the CrazyBlonde says, most doctors are well intentioned and will attempt to recommend the best alternative for the situation.

Brilliant quotes tetra.
I found Mackin's line about Bethel interesting. I was when I was in Bethel that I became all too aware that the WTS is not led by Holy Spirit. It was just a factory.
I could never accept the barbaric justification for evil called the sovereignty issue. But life is statistically improbable. Could it be that the universe has a propensity for life called the creator. Is belief in a mindless creative force a belief in God? -

Did you ever feel the JW "holy spirit"
by Smiles in.
were there ever times when you were sure you could feel or see "jehovah's holy spirit" operating?.

Agree with Thom. I used to pray and do pretty good talks, and became convinced I would completely muck up if i didnt pray. When i started doubting i stopped praying before talks and found i did exactly the same sort of talk.
I never felt the Holy Spirit. I was so disappointed when i was baptised at 16. Went under, came up and felt exactly the same. Jesus had the heavens open, the early Christians were born again, and yet i never felt anything, no matter how hard i prayed.
On the other hand, i have always been very intuitive, and able to pick up on vibes more than the average man, so am a bit surprised i wasnt susceptible to holy spirit type emotions. -

I find atheism a bit hard to chew, but certainly agnostic.

Why the large fluctuation in Special Pioneers?
by truthseeker inlittle is known about special pioneers, other than their role.
how many hours are expected of them?
are they given preferential treatment?
-
jwfacts
Being a special pioneer is a full time career, there are no months off. There are also few if any special pioneers with children. It is large variation in numbers. There was a large jump 12 months ago, maybe the new ones just couldnt take it for more than 12 months. Maybe old ones are retiring. Better still, maybe they are joining the growing ranks of apostates.
I know of a number of MTS graduates that were disfellowshipped within a couple of years of graduating in Australia for fornication. I also know of special pioneer couples where the husband committed adultry while serving on the islands. -

Hummers are designed for war. This guy will be cruising during the War of Armageddon. I wonder if he is expecting to be allowed to let off a few rocket launchers as well.

I struggle with the same daily myself. What I think is that you cant be told which path to take, because only you know which is the path for you. You cant force yourself to be the hearty laugher if deep down that is not who you are. The hardest thing is to find who you are, accept who you are and not feel pressured to be what you are not.

How many exJWs are now pagan? Why?
by Sirona ini was just wondering how many exjehovahs witnesses are now pagan?
of the exjws i've met, quite a few either describe themselves as pagan or pretty much have "pagan" type religious views.. i wonder if it is a backlash against the control of the jws - to choose a religion which has "no rules" as such.
also, is it rebellion?

I wouldnt classify myself yet as Pagan, but it is very hard to explain away intuition and coincidence and the amount of Psychic and Spirit activity that occurs. It is also the only spiritual belief system that seems to make sence. I have been amazed at the logic of belief and the love amongst Pagans, not at all the black Satanic blood-letting occultists that i had always assumed they were as a JW.
