Are the WT following Jewish practices toward ex-believers?

on the book of hebrews, the believer's bible commentary says regarding those who leave the jewish faith:.

"now when a jew left the faith of his forefathers, he was looked on as a turncoat and an apostate (meshummed), and was often punished with one or more of the following:.

You are likely correct Wonderment. Very un-Christlike display is shown by the witnesses. When you think about it, JC never had a record of shunning anyone. In fact(something foreign to witnesses), JC did just the opposite...eating with those who had strayed. I believe this gave those lowly ones strength to turn around.
I am sure their absence of empathy from the witnesses and disdain for those who leave comes from a lack of accurate knowledge. They believe and buy the myths that have been delivered in the publications and from the platform.
Perhaps the Lord's example should be the overriding example, rather than cling to Paul's admission in Corinthians?

the gb especially should be out there doing it.

They don't pioneer on their holidays, but 'encourage' everyone under them to do so. Matthew 23:4 comes to mind...

i have noticed something even long before even looking into ttatt, something about morris bothered me.

i am personally very attuned to body language, facial expressions and general subtleties in human interaction.

there was something about his face that really bothered me, and i will explain it.

I completely agree. He shows his arrogance and feeling of superiority with this lip movement. He is incapable of preventing this.
He does the same thing when he speaks of tight pants to an audience.
After inferring that the fashion industry is run by no one but homosexuals, he poses a leader question of "Don't you know they love it when you wear tight pants?"
The audience will instinctively laugh or chuckle and then he retorts with an air of dominance with "You might think its funny...I think it's disgusting!" It is there you notice this lip sneer. Perhaps Tony has some skeletons in his closet on this subject?
Anyone else feel he looks down on the 'common man' when he does this? Sad the control they have. 😔

I think they are 'tweaking' the old prophecies towards a new date that will be given to them (by God of course...who else) because they are losing so many out the back door. It just gets tiring, does it not? To hear the same things twisted over and over again, in an attempt to justify their hopeless dates.
Past truths turn into present truths and this will soon be replaced with future truths...that you can bank on! I mean, who are they kidding? Who deals with truth this way?
Who here thinks they come up with a new date this year?

Nicely done, RedPill. However, a frontal attack like this typically makes them shutdown. However, you need to send him these. Perhaps one day something will make him reconsider. I know it did for myself.
I find it sad to see what 'Gods Sole Channel' of communication does to families. They will have much to answer for one day, no?

i heard through the grapevine that a number of couples have been given their notice.

some of these folks have been in bethel for over 30 years.

Where are the soup kitchens, housing for the elderly and free clothing and financial aid for the down and out?
So sad, isn't it? Yet they act as if they are the chosen race...everyone else is going to die. Other religions help in practical ways, yet they will also die. No wonder James 1:27 is rarely talked about,and when it is, it's so often misapplied. How will they make money from that?

Congregation that have sent in money!

in the past week, i have heard from a number of friends scattered all over the place.

a number of them are very upset over the congregation being required, to send in all monies over $4,000.

a number of these were kh's that were saving to buy land, and or build new kh's.

Yes, now when the hall needs a renovation, they can apply to the WT for a loan. That new loan will continue indefinitely and will be based on a fluctuating publisher amount. That is a new directive. How nice...
