It's been so long since I've heard the pitter patter of their big feet! I'd love it if they stopped now, I'd love to play with them for a while!

I think the topic had to do with how strange it is that we are drawn here, to JWD and the discussions regarding that which we left.
I'm drawn here, almost daily, because of the discussions and because it's nice to know that you are not alone. That there are others that have the same doubts and questions as I do. I'm drawn because this is a place I can ask the questions and discuss the topics not allowed by the WTB&TS.
As for "poor" def'd.....I have one or maybe two questions....Are you self employed? If not, would it not be the business of your employer that you spend so much of your workday on line and not attending to your employment duties?

IF the Marine's take him, they will make a man of him.......they will either make him come up with the $$$$$$ before enlistment or all of his $$$$$$ will go to you each month if he's man enough to make it through basic. Another good point....if he enlists in the military, your son will have certain rights to his military benefits, including medical care (and if something happens to him while he is serving, there is a small life insurance policy and you can collect Social Security for your son and until he's 16 for yourself as his caregiver)!
As hard as it may be, step back a little and wait and see if he is allowed to enlist. He has a judgment against him for the back child support, so this could be a good thing one way or another the military will see that he pays it off.
Good luck and keep us posted!
PS - John....you sign as an ex-Marine. It is my understanding having dated a retired Master Gunnery Sargeant for these past 12 years, that you are always a Marine. You may refer to yourself as retired or prior (depending on length of service) but you are never, ever and ex-Marine.

Breast Cancer
by simplesally inlumpectomy or mastectomy???.
outnfree and i chose differently.
i know the doctors gave me the survival rates................the same.
-
Carol
Sally, my mother was diagnosed in 1997, she had chemo then a lumpectomy and the removal of two lymph nodes, then more chemo and radiation, she had a rough year and still goes in every three months for blood work and check-ups, but she is cancer free (she was 65 when diagnosed).
I just went through another biopsy and my tumor has been determined non-malignant, but questionable, this was my 5th biopsy since 1997....should my tumor ever be diagnosed as malignant, my decision will be a double radical. I can LIVE without my breasts. Yes, they can do lumpectomies, but I also am the type of person that would worry about a return and one of the things they tell you about cancer it "stress" is not a good thing.
You made to best decision for you. Any treatment that will allow you time with you children and grandchildren is the correct decision. As my mother's oncologist told her "caught in time, breast cancer does not kill you, it just makes life hell for about 12 months".
Hang in there our thoughts, prayers and good energy are headed your way!

JW Ladies: starved for love?
by 144001 inok, in another thread, a poster referred to incidents of "sisters" out in "field service" attempting to "hit" on the males they encountered at the doors.
i have personally had this experience, and also noticed that the last time i visited a kingdom hall, the females in the hall were very, very flirty (including those who were married).
it was as if i had entered a place inhabited soley by women who had been denied male companionship for years!

Doofdaddy, you are one highly intelligent and extremely attractive man! No I am not hitting on you, but your last post on this thread and other post on other threads, shows that you are.
144001, I have to tell you, I really enjoy your well thought out thread questions and your posts, I put you in the same class as Doofdaddy.
Girls/Lades.....I guess we're pretty lucky on JWD, it seems for the most part the men that have escaped the WTB&TS and post here, seem to be a highly intellegent and attractive group, aren't we lucky!

Question for Defd
by gringojj in.
defd we were talking earlier and i didnt want to hijack the other post.
we were talking about how i believe it is unfair for god to murder his children even though it is his fault that they dont follow his wishes not because they dont want to but because he did not make his wishes clear.. you said that his wishes are clear, but the devil distorts them.. you promised me you would provide me with some examples.
-
Carol
It will be interesting to see if Gringojj gets and answer to his question! How convenient that def'd always has to leave before he can answer a question.

In the short amount of time I've been a JWD member, I have noticed that Def'd can be extremely rude and unkind. I've also notice that Hibiscus, while often times is caring and has great things to say, can at times be equally rude and unkind and cutting and I've noticed you both like to pick on anyone that questions or differs with your opinion. This whole thread has been a waste of time for a lot of people that have read through it because they thought is was something positive.
Mrs. J, I don't know what problems you might have, as alluded to by Hibiscus, but I have found you nothing but kind, humorous and considerate of other's feelings, even when the discussions have been heated and at times offensive. I for one have enjoyed bantering back and forth with you and always look at any thread you've started or post on as I enjoy your opinions and your take on different subjects.
