  All of that makes perfect sense - AS long as King Zedekiah was removed by Nebuchadnezzar in 607BCE. Here is where I need the help. Can you prove to me that King Zedekiah's reign ended in 607BCE?

  
  

  
  No, not so. We are not looking for that.

  The Bible says the desolation is 70 years. It says that repeatedly. 2 Chronicles, Jeremiah, Daniel. We know that 607 is the beginning of that desolation because it ended in 537. We can do math you know. Now, the educated scholars seem to believe that a 70 year desolation is really 50 years as they think that 587- 70 = 537.

  No one can prove anything or any year from those past times. I have never seen a newspaper from Babylon or Jerusalem with the date of 587 or 607 or anything. That is why Jesus was asked for a sign of his presence and he gave a sign of his presence, rather than a year.

  And There are others outside the Bible Students who believe that 2520 years is a prophetic period beginning with the destruction of Israel and ending in our times. There are numerous sites. Too numerous to post here. Some believe it began in 721 when Assyria took Israel and end in 1776 or 1799. They hold that the US is of prophetic significance. Others believe it is 604 and end in 1917 when Gen Allenby marched to Jerusalem. They hold that Israel is of prophetic significance. Others believe other things. If 587 is the starting point then it would end in 1934. What happened in 1934? Nothing of significance compared to 1914.

  But one must consider not numbers alone but the scriptures in totality, their fulfillment in totality and their teachings of the end times.

  It does not sound like you had faith if apostates can destroy it by numbers.

  ran into two jw's over the holiday weekend

  after fading i didn't run into any jw's for quite awhile, now they are coming out of the woodwork.

  i wasn't sure how i was going to handle things due to fading.

  i seen one women at a yard sale and didn't know if i should say hello or not.

  This is very hypocritical of the Catholics.

  They are ridiculing Jehovah's people for looking for Christ's kingdom but that is contrary to what

  their first leader stated.

  They state that Peter is the first pope. In 2 Peter 3:3 he states:

  "

  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,2Pe 3:4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation."

  Notice, Peter was not rebuking the ones looking to the promise of Christ's coming or kingdom. He knows that the faithful will be believing and teaching that. He is rebuking the ones ridiculing the faithful, the ones looking to the kingdom. Who are ridiculing the faithful? The Catholics.

  Those Catholics are going against their leaders direct words.

  Except that the law stating to abstain from blood traces back to Noah's time, thus it

  is included in the Christian commandments such as abstaining from idolatry and such.

  As a JW I would study with any person using only the Bible (several versions) and Hebrew and Greek Lexicons. Using this method i wouild prove all major JW teachings are strickly from the Bible eg no trinity, no hellfire, no imortal soul, the reserectiion, why Jesus came to earth, why God permits the trouble we see today, what Gods purpose is for the earth, etc

  I do that too.

  That way when people say that we have our own bible, I say that we use several.

  What a joke. Read the rest of the catholic exjw gift store.

  Is that all the better that Catholics can do?

  A simple attack on Jehovah's Witnesses?

  And what if someone can't answer that? Do Catholics have

  then they would go door to door and teach that to people.

  I don't believe that Jehovah's Witnesses are following anyone who has written

  God's Kingdom of a Thosand Years have approached.

  We are following the sign that Jesus gave in Matt 24.
