da judge j. f. rutherford had some rather bizarre ideas regarding many things, it is however quite rare to come across anything quite so strange as his opinion of the prohibition in the us in the twenties.
rutherford loved his booze and didnt take kindly to the prohibition.
in an article with the title prohibition published in the november 1, 1924 issue of the watchtower he really let it rip and showed his power of reason in full flight.
Hi,
To add something more, Russell has viewed the prohibition as a good
thing in his books "The Armaguedon Battle". Another thing where
Russell and Rutherford were totally agree ;-)

i had a quick discussion with my jw wife yesterday about the tax case in france.... she argued that the taxes "suddenly were to be paid back dated several years").
i argued that it was because that the wtbts had problems maintaining there religion status.... could anyone inform me (or show me where i can find some mere info) explaining the exact problem (for the org).. i read somewhere (in an old h20 post from ginny - found on watchtowernews) that the taxes should have been paid from the beginning but weren't and therefore penalties and interests also were to be paid.. i also understand that there may be similar cases coming up in other european cuntries.. kind regards.
mr. magoo
In fact, the Wt is really persecuted in France in this tax's story.
In fact, there were different problem where the Wt has made faults
and have must payed: The Wt has "forgotten" to paid the Social
Security for his employeers, has "forgotten" to declare the money
the Wt have winned, and have not declare the gifts of his followers.
For the last one, the Wt has the right not to declare the gifts,
and that's why the Wt is really persecuted for this last thing.
But for the 2 first thing, the Wt has deliberated made some
illegal things.

hey all,.
i just got home from the very first minnesota evil apostates night (mean).
we wonder if similar apostate nights out have been held elsewhere.. we daringly held this mini-convention (8 in attendance) at a smoky bar somewhere in minneapolis.
Hi Gopher,
We have made this kind of meeting in France too. The apostate's site
in France is a mailing-list ( http://www.chez.com/tjliberte ), and
you have described perfectly how we have lived during this meeting.
For us, it is important to see us in "real life", just to see how
"an apostate" is really an human being. We have have all of us still
in mind the cliche of the Jw's view of an apostate, a anguish and
greedy man, and when we were all, we have seen simple man and women,
with their problems and story.
This kind of informal meeting is very helpfully: There is a life
after the Watchtower.

And what i expect to answer ?
Oh fred, i'm so scared, pray Jehovah for me ?
Have you think just one time that there could be a difference between
the Watchtower and God ?
Call me Charles, Fred, we are brother.

Just a modification in your text, Fred:
"Don't forget that he remain faithful to *the borg* down to his death. Now his is with him. Can you say that for yourself?"
Except this little error, very good point

i was intersted in what brought "you" out.. with me it was the 607 bce thing.
i always followed the org and would have died for it but when i saw the fallacy of the 607 date that blew it for me.
i am now on a quest to try and find something to feel comfortable with.
For me the blood question:
If you want to see the letters that i send to the french's Bethel

Hi all,
Thanks for the site of translation. I think that i will use it a lot
of time. ;-)
The ADFI is a french's association as AFF.
http://www.jwbloodreview.org/FrenchJWbloodreview.html
http://www.chez.com/tjrecherches/lettres.htm
Merci d'avance.
