  La cour d'assises de la Gironde a condamné vendredi à 12 ans de
  réclusion criminelle un ancien adepte des témoins de Jehovah âgé de
  66 ans, pour avoir violé sa fille pendant trois ans alors qu'elle
  était âgée de moins de 10 ans. Les jurés sont allés au-delà des
  réquisitions de l'avocat général qui avait réclamé 10 ans de
  réclusion à l'encontre de cet ancien militaire qui vit aujourd'hui
  dans une caravane à Saint-Antoine-sur-L'Isle, dans le Libournais.
  
  Il comparaissait libre pour "viols sur mineure de 15 ans par ascendant
  légitime" et avait été placé sous contrôle judiciaire après avoir
  passé un an de détention provisoire.
  
  En juin 1991, les Témoins de Jéhovah avaient fait comparaître l'homme
  devant le "Conseil des anciens", une instance disciplinaire du
  mouvement, pour ces faits de viols et décidé de l'exclure de la
  communauté sans toutefois dénoncer les faits à la justice.
  
  Cette décision était intervenue après, qu'adolescente, la victime se
  soit confiée à une amie également adepte du mouvement. Ce n'est qu'en
  2001 que la victime, alors âgée de 25 ans, avait porté plainte au
  commissariat de Bordeaux.

  i'm not real adept at scanning but could do it with some instructions.
