  C14 intro

  i have been doing some research on c14 dating.

  i thought the "simplest" way to check it out would be to read a thesis on why it is "wrong" and then research these arguements and see if they are wanting.the thesis is at http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/aig-c007.html.

  i will post the different points and hopefully we can get a few good threads going.. 1. the thesis makes the point that because the flood occured, the carbon in different materials would be as it is now.

  What a deceptive article:

  "People who ask about carbon-14 (14C) dating usually want to know about the radiometric[1] dating methods that are claimed to give millions and billions of years -- carbon dating can only give thousands of years. People wonder how millions of years could be squeezed into the biblical account of history."

  and

  "That is why radiocarbon dating cannot give millions of years. In fact, if a sample contains 14C, it is good evidence that it is not millions of years old."

  The dating method of 14C is not used to date material of millions
  of years. This is a "straw man".

  It sounds like "Creation" book, nothing more.

  howdy all,.

  i've recently discovered all the great ex-jw sites on the internet, and i've enjoyed reading other people's stories.

  but a few passing comments in some stories have made me wonder: do or did the elders keep files on individuals in each congregation?

  It would be interesting that you scan your letter and the answer
  of the Society. When i talk with R&F, they don't want to believe
  me that the society generally don't really answer to the question
  asked.

  If a lot of correspondance between Faithfull's JW and Bethel would
  be available on the net, they could make their own opinion about
  that.

  i have decided to enter my analysis of joseph franklin rutherford to the mix.. during rutherford's administration, he was referred to as "the world's foremost bible scholar.

  This Guy Gets 15 Life SentencesFor 400 Murders.

  this doctor probably killed over 400 of his patients.. he is serving 15 life sentences for the ones that he was tried for.. i think that his crime was worse than mc veighs, he killed people who trusted him.. .

  i bought c of c last year and spent a long time reading it (3 whole months).

  thanks to this well-written and researched book, i was finally able to get past the "armageddon syndrome" that so many ex-jws experience (i.e., "i'm gonna die at armageddon for reading this apostate literature").

  I think that this is a new strategy from WTBS.

  Curiously, we have surely in the french's newsgroup a lawyer of the
  WTBS (M. Alain Garay who use the pseudo "Davy_tj") talking about
  the Remi's case. I think that when there is a new problem, the
  lawyer of Wtbs talked on the internet. But only them, not th R&F.
