The Watchtower and the Masons

the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.

* both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.

* both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.

I do like these eight points:
* Both believe that God built the Great Pyramid
* Both are interested in Egyptology
* Both fail to understand the biblical teaching on the atonement of Christ
* Both believe in salvation by works
* Both disregard the need for New Birth
* Both use Masonic buzz words and symbols
* Both regard the Catholic Church as Babylon the Great
* Both maintained that the blacks (sic) were inferior to whites (sic)
* Both met in Masonic Halls

So am I, there is no dogma in freemasonry. I would like to know where Springmeier found that freemason thinks for example that the catholic church is Babylon the Great. Perhaps only in his imagination.

services as serving in medical's troops.

Need your help for a little research!!!

i have found something interesting in the danish new world translation of the holy scriptures.

and i would like to know, how the other nw-translations render the same verse.. it's the "famous" words in jeremiah 29:10, which in the nwt's rendering usually (at least as far as i know) seem to depict and strengthen the seventy years as a period of captivity, instead of servitude under babylonian supremacy!.

Hi messenger and all,

I know personnally Nadine D, the french's infirmier in this Awake.

She is not a "specialist of tropical disease" (see my post on another specialist in the Watchtower two days ago.)

In fact, France is assigned by the Gb to support Africa. At the time of the war in Rwanda, a JW's doctor has made an association to help the brothers in foreign country. At the beginning it was not a Watchtower's association and officialy this is still not an Watchtower's association, but this association use the Bethel's facilities and several KH to stock for example foods and clothes..

Nadine was in Rwanda for 6 month to build a JW's camp on the Zaire's frontiers. There were several problems here.

First the Zaire's brothers were very angry. They saw foods, clothes, and medicaments coming for the Rwanda's brothers but they have nothing to eat and to wear without wars. they asked the french's brothers to send them clothes and foods too !

Second, the french's Jw teams helped only JW in one camp. The refugiees's camp around this camp with a lot of "worldy peoples" had a lot of difficulties. So the "worldy people" has seen all the clothes and food that JW had. They attacked the camp. To stop that, the jw's team WAS OBLIGED to help others people than JW. Now you can read in the stupid Awake's article that JW helped even "worldly people", this is true, but they were a little obliged if they don't want to be killed !!!!

The last time that i have some news about Nadine, she was not in Africa, two years ago. I think that the association has made a new campaing in Congo where there was the civil war last year. I will try to phone her ( I hope that she don't know that i am an apostate) to have another news..

Hi cecil,

In french, this is the same thing than in english: "In Babylon"

But this kind of local's particularity don't surprised me. before
1995, the french's version was more liberal in front the english
version. Example there were no "only-begotten son", and John 1:1
was translated by "The word was god" and not "A god".
