i know that this has been a popular post in the past.
but after my last post, it got me thinking.
i used to always use those stupid field service report slips as scratch paper.
I was counseled by my ex hubby, who was an elder. He did not show up to my (worldly) family's function. When I got home, I asked where he had been. He said he was with a brother. I asked doing what? He actually said "Well, since it wasn't a sheparding call, I guess I can tell you. We were playing golf. But you shouldn't ask me where I go with the brothers." Not long after that I left him.
howdy all, i just happened to be in your neighborhood and thought i'd ring your doorbell to tell you the good news about jehovah's kingdom, and if you don't believe every damn word of it you're going to die a horrible death real soon m*th*rf*ck*r thought i'd say howdy.. like it says on my profile, i wasted my vulnerable teen years in the watchtower bible and crap society, and it nearly killed me.
funny thing is, i wasnt coerced into it by my family, they were all worldly (well except for a very eccentric old great uncle that nobody liked or visited) and thought i was out of my fucking mind to join up with that jw shit.. which i was.
understandably, because my parents drank too much, there were truly horrible fights every night at home, a very bitter divorce when i was 10, and only child me was trapped in the middle of all that with no one to turn to.
Welcome to the board!

[to all those who followed the first eight chapters of my story, thank you.
it's very healing for me to write all this.
i had fooled myself that my story was done after chapter 8, but it really wasn't.
I have enjoyned your story immensely so far! You really know how to keep a reader going!
As for your experiences, I am so glad you recovered from your life-threatening illness, and I hope you have more on the way!

Beautiful! Those are amazing performances!

ok, so i have a serious question.
probably my first on here, but this has always bugged me, and i've never received a satisfactory answer.. how does someone become annointed?
when i was a child, my grandpa, who was an elder, told me that if you are of the annointed, you just know.
I thought the number was sealed? More new light? I can't believe the rank and file can't see through these ploys to explain why the end hasn't come yet! If only 144,000 are annointed, and there has always been a witless of jah on earth at any point in time, it doesn't add up. Now 19 and 20 year olds can be annointed? Theoretically, the "end of this system" can last another 60-80 years! But keep preaching - you never know when it could happen!

That is so hilarious! If I was his co-anchor, I would either be calling the cops or having a laughing fit!

hi all.
in your opinion, what was the silliest , most laughable watchtower teaching/doctrine, since its beginning until now???.
chukyy.
One of the most absurd is that women are not allowed to teach in the congregation. Plenty of women in my old cong. could have done a better job than the elders and servants!
Another is what a married couple does in the bedroom is the business of anyone else. My ex was an elder, and he had no problem with it - "If two people in a marriage love each other, it's ok" he would say with a big sh*t-eating grin!

i just thought i'd briefly introduce myself.
my name is april, i am a navy wife and mother of six children, will be 30 next month, and have been disfellowshipped for almost 12 years.
i was also reproved two years prior to that.
Welcome to the board April! I'm glad you found this place, since it has helped me in so many ways. When you can, read Ray Franz's book - it will surely be an eye opener. Although, w/ 6 kids, I wonder how you post on here!
