  Why are honest questions considered apostasy?

  this is why as i was growing up (raised in "the truth") i never asked questions.

  i never understood the birthday issue among other holidays.

  i never asked because i was scared i would be looked at as an apostate or as someone being worn down by the wicked association.

  Welcome to the board!! Your right you SHOULD be able to ask questions! I came in as an adult and like you I didn't want to ask questions because I was made to feel that I should understand everything and except it, but I didn't so I kept my mouth shut! looking back now, I wish I would have asked them, maybe I would have left earlier!!!

  I thought they only made one season of that. Is there going to be more shows? My husband and I watched the first the season on our Space Channel and we really liked it.( we watched the original growing up). What channel is it going to be on?

  I agree when I left last month( I can't remember the exact words that were said) but one elder and a friend said something like I WAS LEAVING JEHOVAH! I said NO I wasn't ...I was leaving the ORGANIZATION!!!

  They do try to make you feel that you are leaving GOD. Someday they will answer for that!!!

  Have you ever read 'Crisis of Conscience' or 'In Search of Christian Freedom' both are by Raymond Franz who is a former member of the Governing body? PLEASE I urge you to read these two books. Did you ever ask the person you study with about the UN?

  i was assimilated at birth... .

  my maternal grandparents came to england in the early 1940s, and learnt the troof here.

  my grandfather opposed my grandmother for a while, but then he decided it wasn't worth the fight and studied the blue "troof book" and my grandparents got baptised at the same assembly.

  Well it was a very unfortunate day, there was a knock on my door so stupidly I answered it, listened to what they said, and being the polite girl that I am and as a force of habit, I said COME AGAIN, Now here KICK me in my ass, no no I mean it KICK me!! Anywaaaaay that's how it started!!
