My husband usually makes the coffee in the morning and he puts coffe, cocoa, and vanilla in the dripper thing and then adds the water..it is a Tim Horton's coffee maker that we had to send back for a recall and it was gone for five days. We lived with a one cup coffe maker and it was really awful...I made it and it was so strong. I never used to drink coffee but my husband got me into it and I have to drink some every morning or he will drink the whole pot before he goes or rather "flys" to work...

by bikerchic init's been about two months since i've drank coffee, i quit cold turkey don't ask why........just wanted to say i didn't miss it at all and now i wonder how i ever drank this stuff in the first place!.
back to cranberry juice in the am for me!.
anyone else ever give up something and wonder later how or why they ever drank, ate or smoked it in the first place?.

Embarrassing moments at work
by damselfly ini think we need a fun fluffy thread today, so this is my attempt at starting one.
at work we have a big bathtub with air jets.
clients come in for a hydrobath, (hopefully remember their swimsuit 'cause i've seen so many naked people by now it's getting boring), leave and then, oh joy!, i get to clean the tub.

working as a pharmacy technician for the first time, a customer, a young guy came to the counter with a box of condoms....I said to the pharmacist quietly," Is there tax on condoms?" He laughed out loud and said loudly,"No, there's no tacks on condoms, they stay on by themselves!!!!" I was mortified and quickly rang them in with NO tax and put them in the bag and the customer and I never made eye contact. I later married the pharmacist and he is still as crazy, funny as ever.

I love drama movies...and comedy as well. My hubby is really into sci-fi movies so I have seen some of those as well. I am a cry-baby too and often cry at movies.. Iloved Beautiful Mind.....I like to know the ending before I see the movie so if there is a book before the movie comes out I try to read it first..or get someone to tell me the ending.. I hate a movie with a bad ending that leaves you sitting there wondering what was that!

by arwen inalthough i did put money into the contribution box untill i found out about silent lambs, i never really counted how many magazines and books i picked up or ordered and no one ever said anything about paying for them.
i just assumed one put in the box what one could.
did anyone actually figure out what they might owe and put that amount in the contribution box?

Thanks Sean No one ever told me anything about the "donation arrangement". I was baptized in 1996 so maybe it was old hat then but I didn't really ever hear about it.

how much were the magazines and books worth? I got music tapes and CD's and other sisters said just put in what you would pay for a CD at a store. I never heard anything from the platform about the exact price of books, etc

Counting time....what really counts

she calls quite a bit early in the morning to chat, always says to say hi to my husband and children who are not baptized.
i am baptized and i was wondering if she could count her time talking to me.

I received a "to encourage you" card from her today..she wants me to come and visit her and she will take me to talk to the brothers in Georgetown and she is going to research the UN thing too. I hope she finds all the things that I have found. I am going to mail her some more information from the web as she doesn't go on line...her pioneer husband does. What else could I send her to make an impact?
