Question about Sept. 11th
by pratt1 ini spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who is a active dub although his actions and decisions in most things would indicate that he is not a believer of the "troof".. we spoke about 9/11 and how horrific the event was for everyone.. one of the things we spoke about was how terrible it must be for the people who made the decision to jump out of the windows because of the intense fire, heat and smoke in the tower.. he commented that an elder in his hall mentioned that this act is still considered suicide and those persons would not be part of the resurrection.. how ridculous is that?
do they just make up the rules on a whim?.
does anyone know what the "offical postion" on this would be with the borg?.

Jumping to spare yourself certain torture and death is very humane.
Those poor souls made a decision based on their human heart and conscience.
They were no doubt religious people who like Jesus handed their souls over to God before jumping.
They were jumping in self defense to an attack.
Religionists are all too quick to speak for God. Ive done it too. It makes me sick. -

Ask Jehovah anything you'd like...
by nvrgnbk inbet you he doesn't answer.. (this wager does not include the ongoing conversation between jehovah and jcanon).

Im glad I read through all these questions to Jehovah.
I dont ask enough questions myself.
The stories of molested children and the pictures of starving people sitting in camps waiting in hope that God will save them tear at the heart of all feeling humans.
SO WHERE IS GOD ?
He certainly is not working through "his organization". What a stinking lie! -

What a charade of friendship!
I pined for my former friends for a long time. I just couldnt grasp the concept that they no longer cared for me because I left the cult after 35 years.
Well its been six years now and I guess it has sunk in.
It was all just an enormous waste of life and time.
My husband was very impressed! I got back in the car and told him " See, its just like being a witness going door to door. The householder told me where to go!"

Encounter with JW neighbours # 2
by winnie inas i posted in a previous thread, we moved about 5 weeks ago into a house next door to a local elders family (who also happen to be related to us through marriage).. the elders wife (i'll call her mrs m), decided to weed her garden when we went out this morning.
but we were only gone for 20 minutes.
to weed a part of her garden, she has to come into our front yard to reach it, which she was doing when we came home.

What a great story!!!!
And so pathetic!!!
I am looking forward to hearing more "neighbor stories" from you in the future!
You should send it in to your local editor under "JWs as Neighbors" -

Oh you guys really know how to put me right back in the grips of the JW nausea and torment
with your writing skills!
That whole dismal JW teaching about the future prospects of the resurrected ones is hogwash!
They are making the whole thing up! Jesus was talking about those who inherit heavenly life!
They will be like angels and neither marry nor be given in marriage!
I know I know, he was answering the pharisees who asked about a woman who had seven husbands.
But Im sure he was talking about those who go to heaven.
How else could old Sarah and others like her, Anna the prophetess, etc. be so confident that God would give them earthly rewards in the resurrection? Abraham believed God could resurrect his son Isaac.
Didnt the ancient Jews believe their marriages would survive death? They did not believe in a heavenly reward! What did they look forward to???? Life again. Marriage again. Families again!
In my gut I dont believe the Watchtower Pedo Bachelors have the red hotline to knowledge of the hereafter. -

I am sorry my former relatives had to sit through such a discouraging Sunday meeting.
When will it sink in that their organization is the problem?
When was the last time they came out of a kingdum hall refreshed and happy?????
Poor suckered things!
I have a mind to print out this Watchtower Review with all of your comments and mail it to each one!
Thankyou Mr. Watchtower Comments for the excellent review!!!! -

Yes, I love the harvest decorations filling the stores! But thats as far as I go.
Just Harvest.
I celebrate the October Full Moon called the Harvest Moon.
I love the season so much!
When my husband told me he wanted to marry me, I insisted he propose to me under the October Harvest Moon!
So every year when it comes around I can remember that special night for me when this sweet angel got down on his knees under the moonlight and asked me to marry him. It was the end of so much sorrow for me and the beginning of so much joy! -

by Lone_Wolf inmy story is much like others.
i have found a faith to call my own, thankfully.
my parents don't agree with it, though they are very much still in my life, whether it's in my head or on the phone.

Oh yes, what about your sister? Sassy asked you have you revisited the situation with her yet?
Have you spoken to her? Have you asked for her forgiveness? It would be wonderful if the two sisters could reunite!
What a glorious Christmas this will be in your family!
