Economic Recovery after COVID-19
by Simon init feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.
a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.
the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.

Here in the U.K. we will sometimes say to a friend
“you bastard”
But if I was to say to someone I didn’t like , or even hated, “ you bastard” I think you’ll agree there would be a difference.
As regards a black person calling another black person the N word , I don’t like it and really think it would be better if they didn’t but I’m guessing they are using it often almost in a friendly way like we call someone a bastard in the uk. “ you little bastard you”.
If a white person was to call a black person the N word I’m guessing it could often be used and viewed as a term of “know your place”.

Did they use to applaud after reinstatement after being Disfellowshipped, but then it stopped?
by ThomasCovenant ini don't remember disfellowshippings happening very often and announcements about being re instated but i think i remember that we used to clap hands if someone came back after being disfellowshipped.
but then i think clapping wasn't allowed.
