  Bristol Harbour Festival

  just came back from the bristol (uk) harbour festival.

  a really good weekend of tall ships, boats, international music, dance and street theatre entertainment for all the family.

  highly recommend it to anyone who can make it.

  No Resurrection For Disfellowshipped?

  sorry if this has been covered already.. 1) what is the written policy about disfellowshipped ones having a resurrection?.

  2) what if the disfellowshipped one is d'd for apostasy?.

  reason i ask is an ex elder who was disfellowshipped for apostasy is very ill and may very likely die soon.

  in one of my last conversations (end of 2004) with a long time close friend of 25 years (he's still in and believing) i said to him that with the generation change armageddon could be another 200 or 300 years away.

  there's no way of knowing.

  he disagreed so i cornered him into saying when he thought it would be.

  Badges for Conventions

  each year name badges are handed out at the kingdom halls for those attending the upcoming district convention.

  i have always refused to wear one but this was not a major issue as i would say only about 50% wore them anyway.

  however i noticed that as the years went by more and more 'brothers' were wearing them including during the lunch break in the city centre concerned.

  How do you stop hating?

  i'm finding it very difficult not to hate those still in.. my wife says i hate the religion but shouldn't hate the individuals.. i think she's correct but it's getting more and more difficult not to show my feelings of anger and hatred.. the thing is i was one of them for 30 years so i should have more patience, respect and sympathy.. i think they fall into two camps.

  1 deluded.

  Blood transfusion = rape article

  something tells me there was an article in the society's literaure equating forcing a transfusion to rape.>

  please could somebody find it for me as i want to bring it to the attention of some former friends who said the blood issue is no big deal.>

  if their young daughter had to have blood then they would just let the authorities make her a ward of the court and give her blood.>
