  growing up, i had, like we all do, archtypes regarding the way relationships are supposed to work, what a marriage is supposed to look like, and we use these archtypes as guides to our behavior, the sort of people who we find attractive, etc.. according to jung, there are also "built-in" archtypes that arise from the collective unconscious.

  he found that men and women have in their psyches archtypes of the opposite sex, anima and animus.. the anima is the personification of all feminine psychological tendencies within a man, the archetypal feminine symbolism within a man's unconscious.

  Cool that's some deep stuff! The bible is so contradictory, and we do get blamed for not understanding it. People give me the sh*t if I say I don't believe in it, and they gave me the sh*t when I did believe in (but decided to be a dub). You just can't win. I don't even like to talk about the bible to people outside of this group. No one understands me. I the devil to the dubs for not being a dub, and I'm the devil to fundamentalist christianity for not believing in God.

  Well, I have some serious doubts about God. Anyway, I liked your letter of discontent. It's really profound like I said before.

  Now, the question I have for you is: What's going on with your hair and the scarf over your face?! Man, that's whacky!

  seeker, i appreciate the compliment. i appreciate it a lot. grammatical errors and punctuation were part of it. it was a rant and i had to maintain that rushed, i'm excited to see Jehovah on JWD vibe... oh yeah and i suck at spelling and am too lazy to hit the shift key

  Men, women and toilet seat etiquette

  i've never quite understood the big deal about men leaving the toilet seat up but since i hear so much about it i try to comply.

  i do have a pet peeve.

  sometimes when i lift the seat there are obvious signs on the underside that a female has used it and not bothered to 'tidy up'.

  I personally have found a way around the whole thing. Whenever I pee I just sit down. Maybe it is because im lazy but regardless the toilet seat problem does not exist in my house

  *cough* WHIPPED *cough*

  guys don't really have much. we get one orgasm per round in sex, we pretty much have to do what you say or can forget about seeing that root any time, we get blamed for societal ills as well as on the home front. THE ONLY THING WE REALLY HAVE IS PEEING STANDING UP. don't take that away too.

  Trinity - HELP!!!

  since being in the jw org for close to 35 years (from infant) and recently leaving i have been studying topics like the trinity because i was never allowed to before.

  i'm getting so many mixed reviews from the scriptures of whether the trinity is possible or impossible.

  " and john 1:18 "no one has ever seen god, but god the one and only, who is at the father's side, has made him known.

  ok, take for example the oral sex thread and the fact that the dubs reversed their thinking on this.

  so, twenty years ago (within the marriage arrangements) blow job = disfellowshipping... now it's a "matter of conscience".

  suffice it to say alot has happened since that time.

  i would like to say that i have been visiting this site daily looking for encouragement and fellowship but that hasn't been the case.

  damn dude. you have been through it, but from what i can see you have a good lady who has your back and you do, really really do seem to be healing and growing and improving as a man. i give you such respect for that. continue what you are doing. your relationships if you live long enough will come full circle... they just will, believe that. everytime i see this in my life i am awed and amazed and almost willing to believe in god.
