What made it so special, what was your favorite moment on that trip??
i always see topics that bring out not so happy/sad/depressing moments in our lives.. there are so many of us that were raise in the jw religion.
even though i had a very hard life with religion and family, there are many fond childhood memories.. so, tell me about one of your fondest childhood memories:.
it could have been a camping trip or the memory of walking through the wildflowers in the mountains, anything.. vass ~

Every Christmas sounds magical.
I still have never celebrated Christmas, I should this year.
Your mother sounds wonderful, you think now, it isn't the gift that matters, it is the love the warmth of true family.
Thru family does not always consist of blood relatives, My family is my best friend and his wife and their five kids. That to me is a wonderful gift that is my daily Christmas.
Your very lucky to have a wonderful mother!!

.
ok, this is what i eat for breakfast: 2 whole wheat toasts with strawberry jam and a glass of orange juice....that's it... .
i guess that i don't eat enough at breakfast time, because 2 hours later, i'm already hungry for lunch .
First I have a couple of cups of coffee, after I wake up I start on a small cup of hummus and carrots
I get up at 4:00 a.m. and am at work by 6:00, so buy 9:30, 10:00 If I don't have meetings then I will eat my Hummus.
Mmmmm homemade hummus, not like the usual beige gray hummus. It's the Best.

did it ever happen in your congregation that a person was asked to leave?.
i remember about 10 years ago, an elder was giving the sunday talk, and a woman that i never saw before was seated in the front.
she was all alone, and right in the middle of the brothers talk, she raised her hand and started asking questions to the brother about what he just said.
My grandmother was physically removed by to elders.
They don't care!!!
She was a tall skinny lady, but she put up a huge fight.

Well it all started when my father was and elder (Now a Baptist) he was on the stage giving a Sunday morning talk and my grandmother (his mother) was there (also a Southern Baptist). Like 15 - 20 minutes into the talk she kept standing up and shouting and chanting every few minutes and saying that her son is beautiful and God sent him here so everyone can follow him. (We could not quiet her down)
The elders jumped up after like the 4th time (remember, we could not stop her) and asked her to go outside with them, she started screaming like they were hurting her, and saying that she has every right to be there with everyone else and watch her beautiful son preach to everyone. They were dragging her, she fell to the floor crying and screaming, my father finally asked someone else to finish the talk so he can quiet her down, she refused to walk out of those door with out all of us. So we all had to leave.
I loved her so much for being the way she was, a strong beautiful southern Baptist woman that disrupted all the JW's so called perfect morning meal.
With love
