Why hire a few employees and pay them benefits when you can hire a bunch of employees and pay them no benefits? Classic corporate thinking. It will only get worse.

Hard times for Target employees
by moshe ini had a part time job at the local target store and i noticed in june they started cutting hours-consolidating positions.
many who were formerly fulltime with very good medical benefits found themselves with only 15 hours of work each week and expensive prescriptions that were no longer covered by insurance.
when i moved this summer i was transferred to a store down here in florida and they refused to give me any hours.

i encountered some private conversations among witnesses about the subject and it's ugly.
yes, there is suffering as many of these victims try to live on charity and can't find jobs in the worst economy since the depression.. some of their private observations include shock that you need a college degree for nearly any job and that the watchtower society couldn't have picked a worse time to do this to them .. all the while these complaints are discussed, i try not to show that i am astounded by their bizarre "logic".

It's tragic that after 1.25 centuries of puffery, grandiose claims, mega international assemblies, landmark Supreme Court cases, tens of billions of copies of printed matter and a trillion hours of preaching to the world that THEY are the chosen ones, it all ends up being about money after all.

I Love Small Town Living; the Cops Found My Lost Dog
by jamiebowers inso, it was a little after midnight, and i let the dog out for her last potty break of the night.
when i went to let her in about 5 minutes later i saw that her lead had slipped off the hook.
now this poor dog has led a hard life.
