  minimus started a thread asking people to prove that jws don't have the truth.... but, instead of proving they don't, i'd like to see someone prove that the witnesses do have the truth.. this is your thread jw apologists....convince me why you have the truth.. to all you apostates and nay-sayers, please allow the apologists to have their say without harrassing them.

  died suddenly this morning of a heart attack.

  he was only 58 and had lost enough weight to cause his doctor to take him off of medications for high blood pressure and cholesterol.

  he was married to my dear aunt, and i feel so badly for her and their 6 kids.

  hello ex-elders, onthe wayout, snakes, and wilyloman, just to refresh about a month ago i told you all that the appeal committee had overturned the disfellowshipping decision by the original jc as the appeal committee got a hold of me by phone and told me the society gave them direction in this.

  i have since explained the situation to my witness mom and dad, 80 &82, they are good with it.

  i am taking copies of the counsel you ex elders gave to me to be careful about what i say at this "alleged encouragement" meeting and promise you this, i'll watch my words carefully when they ask me questions.

  Hecklerboy, I really appreciate your comments on this topic! I also feel like martial arts training has really changed my life, even saved it. I've learned more about myself in the past two years than in the previous 29!

  Scientific fact changes from scientist to scientist, they used to say dinosaurs and mammals never lived together other than very small basic mammals until larger mammals were found with small dinosaurs eaten in their stomachs.

  I do not like to debate evolution I think it is ultimately unprovable because it is a faith on gathered evidence fitted into already preconcieved formula. So you already have the cognitive dissonance at work.

  Your understanding of how science works is deplorable. Scientific fact does not change from scientist to scientist. What scientists regard as "fact" only changes when exhaustive and reproducible experimentation proves that it should.

  Evolution is not a "faith" nor is it even regarded as "fact" within the broad scientific community. It is merely the best explanation we currently have for what scientific facts have been gathered. To say that it is a "faith" is to reflect a true misunderstanding of how the scientific method actually works. No wonder the GB doesn't want its worshippers going to college.
