Did God create good and evil?

isaiah 45:7 says he did.

gen. 3:16/17 says that he placed the tree of knowledge of good and bad in the middle of the garden.

didn't god say in gen 3:22 that after man ate of the fruit he has become like us (the gods)knowing good and evil.

I've often wondered (but have never looked it up) if the origins of Lucifer have anything to do with the myths of ancient Greece. Prometheus was punished by Zeus for bringing fire (light) to humans. Lucifer was punished for bringing knowledge to humans. There seems to be as similar story in several types of myth.

for the next year, 2006, i predict that:

1. the us will have clear victory in iraq.

2. there will be a devastating sutnami in japan around june.

1. Continuing the trend, the world will see more economic and personal freedom

2. The Internet will continue to expand, spreading those dangerous ideas to places like China

3. The Watchtower in the US will see a slight decline in annual average publishers.

AA - I'll be Devil's advocate to your vomit, for a moment. If the WT was chosen in 1919 because of the "unique" "adherance" to the bible, does that mean there were no other christian sects which had the same beliefs?

Winning the lottery, would it really change your life?

imagine that you won a couple of million $, would this have a huge bearing on you or would you just make slight ajustments to your life?.

i'd be the same person, but with more resources, that's all !!!!.

i'd be more "me" and wouldn't change into someone else because i became rich.. how about you?

More than a couple million would be needed to really make a difference. A couple million in the bank is enough to live off the interest and draw a decent salary. Several tens of millions, however, would probably be needed to change most people.

As for me, it wouldn't change me, it would just allow me to do what I really want in life without having to worry about a paycheck from a company that couldn't care less about me.

Is Jehovah Mentally Unstable?

a friend of mine showed me as interesting scripture, ex.

4:24 that talks about jehovah showing up in person to kill moses, but was talked out of it by moses' wife because from what the bible says she circumcised her son and threw the foreskin at his feet.

she then called him a blood-smeared bridegroom, referring to the circumcision and the lord left him alone.

Shootist is right.... can anyone rationally explain Jehover's behavior in regards to the Moses foreskin story?

A.D or C.E?

are jws the only group to refer to a.d in dates as c.e, also like wise for b.c.e instead of b.c, or is it another proof of their divine right ( because the rest of the world is ignorant, and under the influence of satan) to only know the correct way to state dates?
