Help ... Any handy men/women out there

my microwave is not heating up food.

it activates and everything seems to work, but it does not heat anything up.

i have taken out the panel underneath to see if anything is leaking or wires hanging out or exposed and nothing.

Supplies:

75 yard roll Aluminum Foil

1/2 Gallon Hydrochloric Acid ( AutoBattery Fluid will suffice)

3 Balloons

Instructions:

Step 1) Fill balloons with battery acid and place in microwave.

Step2) Loosely create a large aluminum ball with foil and place in microwave.

Step 3)Put Unit on "High" position and close door tightly.

Step4) Push "Start" button.

If a large acid explosion does not destroy kitchen and all life forms in the house, then you should either replace the Magnatron or buy a new Microwave.

Step 4) Repeat steps 1 and 2 *

*Side Note: Do not repeat steps 3 and 4 after remedying the Magnatronic malfunction or replacement of unit.

i think i'm going to go, its a pretty small venue, should be interesting!

...in an interview, I believe with Oprah, years ago he said he couldn't believe he did the whole Niller Ice junk when he loved heavy metal. He said he was always on cocaine when he did the Nilla routine, but got off of drugs completely when he finally started his metal band.

Go figure that one out.

JW Definition of "Spiritual Activities" - Ridiculously Narrow

the thread on jws and hobbies got me to thinking about this, one of my basic disagreements with witness thinking.

the wts always seemed to be dividing activities into those that were "spiritual," and those that weren't.

in witness-land, going to meetings, praying, going out in field service and personal bible study were basically considered the only "spiritual activities.

Yeppers. In fact the duties of orphans to their widow parents and grandparents are not even considered spiritual activities.

Apparently, in Christianity an orphan is a person who has lost a father or has none of any account to mention as a father.That being the case, he is supposed to provide some financial and material/service-related relief for his parents and grandparents, such as keeping up the houses and cars. But we all know that secular work is not a spiritual activity, and the fact that they are not “Pioneering” proves their lack of spirituality.

In fact, such activity is eventually scoffed at as materialism and mundane activity by the masses in JW’ism who are beaming with “Pioneer Spirit” and any individual who engages in such secular activity is on the virge of apostasy.

Oh well, they “aren’t doing anything” anyway, like putting a Watchtower on a laundry-mat bench to get your time started at 7:30 AM before getting a McMuffin at McDonald's.

Well, I'm McMiffed now, cuz I know this plate of crap all too well.

Guilt only on "Individual Basis"

scapegoating is a practice of the old mosaic law and one of the influences of lying apostates and judaizers that the apostles fought against in the 1st century.

in ancient judaism there were instances of group sin where their sins were written down and tied to the beast and it would be sent off into the wilderness as a representation of sins being forgotten and gone.

jw's do the same thing with individuals, usually in the form of "apostates" being disfellowshipped.

Well Arthur,

I know the individual, Leroy Langon, and personally experienced the practice of spiritism on his part and then again on the part of another pioneer at a slide show program at a Kingdom Hall in South Carolina. After going to the elders about this circuit overseer (now district overseer) I went to 3 of them in private and later found the info' was leaked in a very bad way to my family as they then held an intervention of sorts and tried to have me medicated. I told nobody else but them 3 men and yet I was the one accused of running my mouth. I had another witness,an elder, who bowed out in favor of the 3 elders opinions who then went nuts and started the barroom scene as a musician and was disfellowshipped, leaving his wife and family. I had a post on H2O for several years looking for another witness to the man's trickery.

I was eventually disfellowshipped for "slander" as a "Diotrophes" after having to deal with the badly leaked information everywhere I turned. I even had to deal with it when I had moved away to another congo' when an elder just out of the blue asked me what was wrong and what happened down there. After explaining it all again, I was hauled in, interrogated and subjected to more ridicule in that KH also.

I have a thread on the scandal page here that I started. It is backlogged on page 115 if you wish to read some more details. It is entitled "Sorcery is a Viable Pioneer Recruiting Technique".
