We had a chase in our congergation. Sadly he is now a full blown drug user. His parents never gave him boundries. He was the golden child groomed for Bethal and the son of an elder. He could do no wrong.

Happy and nervous for my Daughter in law
by troubled mind inmy daughter in law just called to tell me she just finished signing up for college !!!!
she will start in january .
she was raised as a witness .

I am just finishing up my first semester at college. I never finished school either. I got my GED in January at the age of 35 and I started college this past September. I'm very happy with my decision to go back to school. It really has been the best decision I ever made.I am starting honors classes next semester and I can't wait. Not bad for an EX JW who never graduated from high school.
Your daughter in law will need encouragement and support when she gets down. Please be there for her and tell her she can do it. Going to college will really open her eyes. Tell her to meet and talk to as many of her classmates as she can. They are on the same ride as her and they can be really helpful when she feels down or is confused about an assignment. Plus speaking to new people will open her up to new friends.

Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 Winter Tires
by Simon inso, after 3 and a bit winters in canada i finally invested in a set of winter tires.
up till now i've had a good set of all-seasons (goodyear assurance tripletred) and they have been very good even coping with a sudden calgary freeze last winter that saw accordian buses sliding back down the hill we were on (scary!
) and general chaos on the roads.. but, driving on the deerfoot on solid polished sheets of black-ice in rush-hour traffic is not nice and you could feel the car getting more than a little vague at times.

I love my snow tires!! I have Cooper tires. Although my car is not a new one and it looks like crap I still have a set of snow tires and rims for it.

What I have learned about people working at the Driver's License office
by moshe ini have winter job working at the local bmv and it has been an eye opener.
i man the reception desk and direct people to the correct desk for help.. don't ever leave your purse in a car- it can get stolen (broken windows)- so take it with you or lock it in the trunk.. don't ever keep your social security card in your wallet or purse.
if it gets stolen, you are a prime candidate for identity theft.. over 25% of the people coming in to get identity cards , i see driving their car out of the parking lot.

Does your Cat want to sit on your Lap while you are on the Toilet .....?
by flipper ini don't know what it is ...... but it's becoming disconcerting.
he's going to just have to sit outside the door and wait.
i know it will be dissappointing to him , as he purrs like crazy while gathering in the experience.

This is what my cat Oliver does while I'm in the bathroom. Snoozy was talking about my sweet kitty who loves his momma more than anything. He is extremly bonded to me. He sleeps right next to me and sometimes on my pillow. He wakes me up with kisses. He is a very loving kitty.

I was found not long after I started posting here by someone who knew me as a kid. I posted in a thread about what congergations we went to in our past and she had gone to the same one. She PM ed me asking who I was and who I was related to. I told her and she knows my whole family. I don't personally remember her, but I was about 10 years old when she knew me.
Personally I could care less if someone who knew me way back when found me here. I'm DA ed and the WTS has no hold on me. My family know I post on these boards and they don't care either.

I was 23 when I DA ed. I was still living at home with my parents. Nothing much changed except I spent a lot of time away from home. My parents were not super dubs though. They were upset but they got over it pretty quick.
