Do you often find yourself back at "Square one" in life?
by JH in.
some people seem to advance in life and gain more and more as time advances, whether it's money, love or anything, while others, maybe like me, always come back to square one, and everything is to be started all over from scratch once again.. how about you?.

Smuckers LOL, fresh starts are nice.
However, Do you often find yourself back at "Square one" in life?
That's how I feel. I retired from the state of Washington at age 50. I was making $59,000 a years. My retirement is only $22,000 a year, becasue my ex-wife gets a third. I immediately started college at age 50 and if they ever approve my thesis I'll have a master's degree in applied linguistics. I'm finding that teaching jobs don't pay much and what else could I do with a master's in applied linguistics. I didn't go to college to get rich. I went because I had always been angry that I hadn't gone to college right after high school and because I wanted a changed of career. However, I'm feeling a bit frustrated.

HOW do doctors cope?
by hamsterbait inthe strain of telling someone they are going to die,.

CHRIS!!! Good God man! Next you'll be using double negatives. LOL
Actually I'm living in Mexico and speaking Spanish most of the time. Double negatives are OK in Spanish. It's common for people learning a another language to transfer features from the second language to their first language. So, yes, probably I'll be using double negatives in English. LOL

I didn't take the test, but the last guy I kissed was a medical doctor and he told me I was great. Does that count.

And now I just "committed" a coma splice. My proofreading skills are great after I hit the "Submit" bottom.

I just "committed" a run on sentence, that reminds of Evil Force's thread on grammar and punctuation. I shouldn't admit it, but I teach English composition.

I no longer go to doctors. They are all pagan worshippers of the caduceus.
Smuckers, I don't understand could you explain?
