nothing like the old hall it's built next to.. the small room in the video is the indoctrination education center.. the building is completed one year ahead of schedule.
my guess: it's either much simpler than they originally planned, and/or they had more volunteers because nothing else is being built.. video is dutch, but nothing interesting is said anyway..

Undeserved kindness
by life is to short injust a side note that i found interesting and sort of upsetting, the wt that the jw's will study on sunday the 18th of september has the words undeserved kindness mentioned 50 in just 19 paragraphs.
really they need to beat it into their people that they are very worthless and do no deserve anything from god?
so much so that they use the words over and over, don't they.. lits .

LTIS, yes they do need to do this to the sheeple to keep the mind-control of the cult alive and well.
As soon a healthy person realizes that they are 'ENOUGH' then we can stop bowing down to the likes of the borg and work on our own self esteem and self love without the guilt and fear - just saying!

yes, a small number.. yet they also love boasting about the "increases in numbers coming into the truth" as proof of jehovah's blessing of the society!.

Funny isn't it that truth be told they are quite proud of the fact that they are a small measured group by numbers so they can carry on judging the rest of the pagans that don't want to convert as proof of their righteousness. They really haven't considered the fact that the 'goodnews' will never be spread to ' all the corners of the earth' ( and then the end is here etc.) There is probably a billion Muslims that have never heard of them.
Just one more contradiction they easily ignore!

Is changing the "truth" / presenting "new light" really so bad?
by Zana inplaying devil's advocate here.... what's the difference between the gb changing bible interpretations compared to parliaments all over the world changing laws?
although the us constitution (=bible) remains untouched, congress passes i don't know how many new laws every year.
and of course people are expected to follow them.

Yes it is BAD. They say God's standards never alter. They use this defense in DF'D. All the goalpost changing since I left coming up 20 years ago is mindboggling. ( he may have but could not watch all of the tripe ) but he was a short of stature, dark skinned bloke the first time around - backed up by many opinions/articles. I told my sis who is still 'in' that in fact he never did look like the white dude with flowing locks and beard as the racist borg paints him, she said ' how ridiculous' haha no in fact he's this Aussie dude now! .... yet sheeple will still follow

Just come back to the site after a while. Interesting post and yes the simple humans I have meet who thought that they were one of a select group who get to rule over us were indeed simple and I just don't get why they would think that they would be any good at ruling anyone but hey the Big J chose them.
I have to say though - every time I read a post from the brother Jeremy I cringe!
Seriously Jeremy, I don't get it, you go out in the field service, no doubt put your homework in on time, probably stand up and do prayers and talks - the whole none yards yet you say you are into the BigJ not the borg but they are one and the same.
I'm going to send you the bill for the thousand's of dollars I spent correcting my brain after years of doing the same as you are now! I don't get why you would come here and defend an organization like this, you may say you disagree with the borg but still want to represent God door to door but you are still doing it under the umbrella of this cult, that's right it is a CULT no matter what you say. Fantasy promises, a great social network and belonging - thinking that your life would have greater meaning.
That's what gets them originally but as above no healthy well adjusted person with healthy self respect would join because they don't need congrats from others to be a good person, only the despots do otherwise the rest had no choice as children and you get stuck there out of guilt for family or friends.
It's not till later on you see the damage from the cult control. I have two very well balanced kids 22 and 19 who luckily for them did not get the brainfuck for too long - yay

Shunning vs. Silent Treatment
by raven ini was thinking this morning in context with the shunning practice- which we all know is a degrading and abusive routine carried out among all brainwashed jw's to those who have sinned/left the org etc.. so with that in mind, how does shunning differ from the silent treatment to jw's?
both are similar in definition... silent treatment.
: an act of completely ignoring a person or thing by resort to silence especially as a means of expressing contempt or disapproval.shun, shunning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.based on jw teachings which i stupidly accepted back when i was asleep and under mind control, i didn't give it two thoughts on how both acts are related.. i do remember an article in a wt which spoke of how the silent treatment is a harsh and abusive form of discipline, but then they twist it back and claim that shunning is a loving provision?

For years my brother has put up the label of being disfellowshipped /excommunicated ( same difference ) but then they have to make them selves different from the rest of religions and use their own label that still means shunning. Its a disgraceful way to control and yet in the teaching of the cult this person is meant to be treated as a 'man of the nations' but there arrogance cannot even let them do this.
The difference of being 'bought' up with the cult is the indoctrination gets into your very cells vs the brainwashing that affects newcomers. Same thing but worse when your informative years of your brain growth are filled with the promises of illusion.
Its sad but in reality we did not have the mental strength to know better. Yes it takes time to believe we are 'enough' but the truth is we are. ( Not their version of the brilliant marketing campaign the 'truth')!! Its 20 years since I stepped into their church, totally at ease within that but my family still feels like I'm missing out, very sad really but we are sooo Enough. Just keep on believing in your own goodness Raven

then things changed for the jws after rutherford mailed a letter to hitler bragging about jehovahs kingdom on earth.. so can we add this to the bloodshed that that the watchtower corp is responsible for?.
