Kind of agree with Steve2 there 'Careful' ( what does that stand for anyways) but I digress, Lloyd is a very pragmatic, say it as it is and doesn't get all hyped up kind of guy. The Cult deserves everything that Lloyd offers up in very insightful info. Free to sin but still cannot bring myself to do it

now i am part of this world but i feel myself the odd one out.
something inside me is still blocking me to do the things i have been longing to do while i was still a jw, such as attending birthday parties, sex, etc.... just last nite, i was on the way to attend a birthday party.

Don't forget you have had 16 years of complete brainwashing and the formative years of youth are a big one for forming our ideas of what is right or wrong or 'sin'. We have already realized we have a core of human behavior though, which most of the time allows us just to be nice! When you add the fear and guilt of the borg is when we think of sinning etc, don't you think?
It'll take time to work through it all so just be nice to yourself and soon enough you will just be able to enjoy any social situation without 'over thinking it' !! So good luck and enjoy Freedom. Cheers

Hi Akid, not sure how old you are but eh, totally get how you feel. Got my kids out when they were 5 and 3. Best thing I ever did and they didn't have to be brainwashed with lies. They have turned to be very well rounded people without guilt or fear in there early twentys now. Lets face it there are some real nosey buggers in that borg. Your probably living a double life, not wanting to give away too much lest you be judged by the sheeple or the elderlies.You may not be able to leave now, not sure but leave when you can. A drifter friend told me once that the dub is 'just a cross section of society' - with the do gooder anal types right through to the more reasoned ones. Perhaps this elderly was just a tad more balanced and good on him.

my guess: it's either much simpler than they originally planned, and/or they had more volunteers because nothing else is being built.. video is dutch, but nothing interesting is said anyway..

by life is to short injust a side note that i found interesting and sort of upsetting, the wt that the jw's will study on sunday the 18th of september has the words undeserved kindness mentioned 50 in just 19 paragraphs.
really they need to beat it into their people that they are very worthless and do no deserve anything from god?

Funny isn't it that truth be told they are quite proud of the fact that they are a small measured group by numbers so they can carry on judging the rest of the pagans that don't want to convert as proof of their righteousness. They really haven't considered the fact that the 'goodnews' will never be spread to ' all the corners of the earth' ( and then the end is here etc.) There is probably a billion Muslims that have never heard of them.

Is changing the "truth" / presenting "new light" really so bad?
by Zana inplaying devil's advocate here.... what's the difference between the gb changing bible interpretations compared to parliaments all over the world changing laws?
although the us constitution (=bible) remains untouched, congress passes i don't know how many new laws every year.
and of course people are expected to follow them.
